Hmm I want to smack you

That is what I was thinking today when a co organizer for my pregnancy/new moms group told me that another girl lost her full term baby and that I should stop emailing her on our listserv and when I said how horrible she must feel and I would def make sure to take her off because I know how it feels having 6 m/c the co org said no you wouldn't because this was a full term real baby

Um wtf, I wanted to smack her.

    OMG!!! I want to smack her too! How completely insensitive. I don't think I will ever understand why people just don't get it.

    So when exactly does a baby become "real"?? 30w? 20w? 12w? What's her magic number where babies go from being clearly "fake" to actual "real" babies??

    Sorry, it seems like the other woman could have chosen her words better and it probably hurt your feelings, she maybe a loss mom herself, but I do definitely think experiencing miscarriage(s) is different from infant loss or late term loss.  Clearly, it is all painful, but differently so. 

    I know for a fact this bitch never lost anything because I know her she has always thought I was a mutant for one reason or the other she told me I was high risk for delivering at a certain hosp. And when I told her I was having a c section it was the end of the world.

    This was kind of what I was thinking too. It sounds like the girl (the one who told you that) is a biotch though and probably used the opportunity to make a rude and hurtful comment towards you. Instead of saying anything she should have kept her feelings to herself. Every loss is tragic but they are all different form one another, I don't think they can measured.
