Follicle scan cd15

Hello,

 

Today is my cd15.  I had my second ultrasound for this cycle today.

On Monday- I had a 9mm on the right side and also about 9 follicles under 10mm.  On my left I had a 12mm, 9mm and 10 follicles under 9.

Today (Thursday) I have on my right side 4 - 11mm and 10 under 10mm.  On the left side, I have a 13mm, 12mm and 25 under 9mm.

 

This could result in 3 things.  1.  Cancel cycle since I am already cd15 and biggest is 13mm.  2.  Cancel cycle because of the ridiculous amount of follicles I have growing (41 follicles total)  or 3.  Try another ultrasound on Monday.

 

What are your thoughts?  I am sad, upset and hopeful at the same time.  I have PCOS so I guess the multiple follicles was a usual for PCOS but I never get cysts.

Me: 35   DH:  29

TTC:  Since 10-31-2007

Dx:  Me: PCOS, an-ovulation    DH:  Nothing so far

2007-2011 - Tried Clomid, Ovidrel Trigger with TI -BFN

11/2013 - back to RE for new plan.

Cycle 1: Letrozole cd3-7; U/S cd12 (27mm left); ovidrel trigger; progesterone test and suppositories - BFN

HSG- 12/16/13 - clear and "Beautiful" per Dr. Attaran

Cycle 2- Letrozole cd3-7, ovidrel trigger, progesterone test and suppositories-BFN

BENCHED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

    Sorry your ovaries are going all crazy!  I reacted the same way for my injects cycle.  Eventually, I had already spent so much on injects and hated to cancel the IUI, so my RE had me trigger a little early when I had 2 follies around 16mm and another 9 or so were at 14mm - the thought being only the 2 main ones would be mature enough by the time the IUI happened. 

    Every RE has a different policy though...and if I hadn't paid so much for injects already, I maybe would have just cancelled.  Sucks how there is rarely a clear answer!



    Me 33, DH 37 -- TTC since Jan'12 -- Low AMH (0.78) & endo, SA w/ low motility
    IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN
    IVF 1.2: 8R 6M 4F -- 2 blastocysts frozen, FET 8/15 = BFP!!
    Beta #s = 445;1,098; 9,545  -- EDD 5/2 -- Team Pink!
    Camila Josephine arrived 4/30 :)

    Thanks.  I am going in tomorrow morning again for another U/S.  I am hoping only 2-3 decided t grow since Thursday.

    That's kind of what happened to me on Clomid. My doctor stair stepped the Clomid, so just prescribed more without inducing a period. It worked to get a mature follicle one time, but the other times, it didn't change anything and we ended up cancelling. 

    With that said, I didn't get any over 10, so at least yours are growing and measurable. They may just need more time to keep growing and maturing. 
    Me (31) - PCOS with insulin resistance

    4 rounds of Clomid = no response
    IVF # 1 - ET (1 3AA, 4 frosties): 12/22 = BFP
    EDD: 9/9/2014
