I don't understand throwing LO a huge first birthday party. Yes, I will have a party, but I do not intend on making a huge ordeal out of it. He won't remember or care and at that point I think it becomes more about the parents than the baby. Which I guess is fine for some people, it's just not my thing.
Eh, we also dress our babies cute and decorate their nursery, but they won't remember. I think 1st birthday parties are more for the parents/family to celebrate surviving a year.

I'm not a big milk fan but if I do enjoy a glass (usually with cookies) it has to be freshly opened by a day or two. I know it's still good but it starts to taste off to me. It must also be ice cold but hold the ice.
I think most of my opinions are unpopular on this board, but to go along with the milk thing - I love it (cow and goat) and I drink it raw. That's right, unpasteurized and delivered in glass bottles to my door once a week from a small, organic farm in New Jersey
I guess it is still Thursday, my internet went out today due to snow.. but I've got nothing edgy this week. I guess I have one, that some might share..I hate mayo.. or miracle whip. I will vomit violently if I bite into something that has either of those.. all because of being told as a kid that it is made from pus. Lmao.

Agreed, OSC. I'm treating it like a "thank you for helping us survive the first year" party. I'll be inviting those key people/family/friends that supported us along the way.
I love reptiles and sharks way more than I think I could ever love a dog. Dogs are gross! (Tame, but I don't really have anything else)
I hate dogs, too. They smell bad and they're kind of needy and pathetic. People think I'm absolutely nuts for not liking dogs, but ew! Once you pet them your hand smells bad!
I'll never understand how people can pet a dog and then go about like nothing's changed. Go wash your hands; you're covered in pet germs and dog smell! To dog lovers: it's called Unpopular Opinion thread for a reason!
I can guarantee this one will be unpopular: Cutesy pregnancy announcements/ultrasound profile pics on Facebook. The bitter infertile in me still winces and/or eye rolls when I see that business. Sorry.

I'll go one up on that and say that the over-facebooking of all things pregnancy and motherhood/child related is horrifyingly nauseating (I never even announced my pregnancy on FB until I had the baby - ha!)
I can guarantee most inside dogs are cleaner than people, especially babies.
And most inside (and outside) dogs are cleaner than Pissy hands and Dooky hands... so I have heard.
That is true, lol.
What I meant by cleaner, their top coat catches everything. Some dogs, like humans let out more heat, so you smell their coat quicker than some other dogs. Rarely do they have nasty germs on their skins unless they have mites/fleas/etc... Also, I am not talking about their mouths being cleaner either, it is myth because you cannot compare two different species mouths because of the different bacteria makeup within the mouth. But usually dog germs do not get humans sick and vice versa.
Chalk it up to personal preference; I don't like dogs and would prefer them to stay very far away from me. I know a lot of people who would feel the need to wash their hands after handling a snake; I have the same compulsion after being around dogs because I can't perceive them as anything other than "gross," no matter how clean they might actually be.
