Re: When does risk of mc go down?

  • After 12 weeks I believe but I've also heard it drops to like 5% after you see/hear a heartbeat.

  • My dr told me after there is a hb the risk goes down.
    Fucking bump!!!!
  • I've heard lots of things and I've looked at the chart that was posted above. My OB personally says 10 weeks is his "magic number". Not sure what he bases that on.

  • I've seen 2-3% after you see the heartbeat. But my MW also says most occur between 6-10 weeks.

  • Just asked my doctor this today after a mild panic attack and she said after you see the heart beat it goes down to 5% and once you get a heart beat at 12 weeks it goes down to 1%.
  • I feel like never. Because at any point in your pregnancy the baby can die.. Yeah it is a smaller percentage, but as this board has shown, even a small percentage, is a lot of people! Its terrible and non-reliable precentage decrease and it sucks and it shouldn't happen! You would think by now the body would be able to do one of the most natural things on earth. =[ =[
  • 10 weeks I was told today. Once you hear the heartbeat, I read it goes down to 2 percent.
  • I don't listen to any of it. I saw a heartbeat twice. I then MMC at 11 1/2 weeks. So I will be worried at least until farther along after first tri.

This.  I've seen/heard a heartbeat with all (5) but my one very early loss and still lost them all.  Hopefully this will be different, but sometimes shit just happens.
