NBR: Walking Dead prediction via Graphic Novel (spoilers)

Does anyone think what happened to Tyreese in the graphic novels will now happen to Carol?  With her going off on her own and the reintroduction of the governor, I think that's the way things are headed.

Re: NBR: Walking Dead prediction via Graphic Novel (spoilers)

  • I didn't read the graphic novels but my prediction was that maybe she would "come to the rescue" somehow if/when the governor came back.

What happened in the books? Do you think she will join forces with the Governor?

What I really want to know is when are she and Daryl gonna get it on?????

    Yummy, Norman Reedus!
  • I don't know if they'll go in a completely different direction, but in the books, Tyreese was captured by the governor (I forget how) and the Governor and army from Woodbury (they were never at the prison) were outside the gates ready to attack.  The gov. basically said, let us in and surrender or we'll kill him - Tyreese says not to surrender, Rick says they won't and Tyreese gets killed.  That starts a huge battle between the prison and Woodbury where tons of people die, etc. In the books, Tyreese is an AWESOME character and when he gets killed it's devestating...we don't really know him as well in the show yet, so I don't think it would work the same with him, but it might with Carol.  But the governor doesn't have a whole army in the show to attack since the town has already left him.

  • Interesting. I haven't read the graphic novels, but I can imagine Daryl going after Carol (even if just to talk to her himself) and bringing her back. Rick doing what he did felt like our first major step back to the Ricktatorship (which everyone seemed to want), but we'll see if everyone actually agrees with this choice soon. I can imagine Daryl and Carol come back to provide some rescue from the Governor, and Carol gets killed in the fray (maybe saving those kids - as a redemption storyline). Whatever happens will be fine... as long as they don't kill Daryl! :)

Don't you think this story line ties more to Glenn and Maggie?  And Andrea gets killed in that same line of thinking.

I think Rick had to make her leave, I'm positive Tyreese would have killed her when he found out what she did.  So I think it was the right play to send her out on her own.  I can see Daryl trying to go find her though...hmm...

I think the Governor will be more tied to Michonne now, I feel like Glenn and Maggie's part with him has played out.  Michonne was the one still looking for him, etc. because of Andrea getting killed (I'm guessing you meant Carol?)

I think what she is saying is that storyline was already used in the form of Glenn and Maggie, which then resulted in Andrea's death.

Ah, I guess I just don't see Andrea's death as catastrophic...and what happened when they attacked the prison for the final time was REALLY bad - Rick escapes with Carl and they think they're the only survivors for awhile until they meet up with a few more from the group.  To me the Governor represents huge changes in the storyline so I'm waiting for the shake up!
