Yesterday I got kicked in stomach and went to L&D to be monitored. While I was there they did an U/S and the tech was acting shady! That was at around 6pm at 8 am this morning my DR finally came in and said they saw a few things that were concerning! 1st they saw a low lying placenta, 2nd they saw that LO may be some renal dialation and 3rd they saw what maybe an echogenic bowel. She assured me it was probably nothing but of course as soon as she walked out of the room I googled it! I go tomorrow at 2pm for a follow up U/S in my Dr's office to see if they see any reason to do any further testing! I just did a growth scan 2 weeks ago in the office and they didn't see any of this so it could be nothing but of course I am freaked out! Any other moms ever had anything like this happen? Apparently this is something that is normally seen in the 18-20 wk U/S! I will be 32 weeks Wedneday! Thoughts and prayers are always appreciated

Went for ultrasound today. My doctor did not see any blood in his bowel so she seems to think it was just a fluke with the u/s that was done Sunday. She did she some mild renal dialation which is basically an enlarged kidney. His level was 0.67 which isn't to alarming but she is going to re-scan in 2 weeks to see if it increases or decreases in size. She said this is fairly common especially in boys and most of the time it resolves itself as his body grows and develops. Also she said she saw no placenta previa and actually my placenta was on the high side. He was head down Sunday and today he was head up. She said since this is my 4th I could have a lax uterus meaning my uterus is really stretched and relaxed causing him to have a little more room than usual. Hopefully he will turn back to the vertex position and stay. After all i still am 8 weeks away from my due date. Thanks for everyone's thoughts and comments! Gald to have some support outside my friends and family

Sending good vibes for a great ultrasound and follow up.
Good luck tomorrow. Ultrasounds can show so much but a lot of times they can cause unnecessary concern. Having said that I completely understand why you would be upset.
I can't wait to meet you Neva Margaret Rebecca
Thinking of you and hope the ultrasound turns out to be nothing.
As I've recently discovered, third trimester ultrasounds can be very unreliable because of the size of the baby / the strange angles the tech has to use to get pics / the growth spurts & changes LO is going through. There is a reason the anatomy scan is recommended for 18-20 weeks and not 30-32! Hang in there!
