I had a D&C last Tuesday and I'm still cramping and bleeding. How long did this last for you? I don't want to sound whiney but I'm just over it, I just want to be done with this process and be normal again....whatever that is.
I understand that you just want to put that behind you. I had mild cramping for a few days and then spotting for about 5 days. I think a week is absolutely normal - everyone is different. All the best.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had a D&C 7 weeks ago... You aren't whiney. You're human. I felt that exact same way. I didn't want to bleed anymore, I wanted my hormones back to normal, I wanted to feel like me without a constant reminder... I bled/spotted for 2 1/2 weeks after. And it sucked. I was told to take Motrin..I guess, it has been proven to slow down bleeding. And it did. Now, I had my period 4 weeks to the date of my D&C and I still spot off and on 3 weeks later. I'd love to tell you different, but I wish someone had told me it wasn't going to be an easy road. Take time off from 'life'... Cry, mourn and be sad. Just because this happens to so many people, doesn't mean it hurts less. I'll be thinking of you.
Your uterus is contracting that is why you feel cramps. Your body will go back to normal soon-it is just trying to adjust. I cramped for about three days after my d & c. The pp had great advice-try to give yourself a break from life. Your feelings are normal. Thoughts and prayers for you.
I had mine on Wednesday and am in the same boat. I think its probably different for everyone. My doctor told me to expect it to continue anywhere from 2-7 days. So sorry for your loss - I completely understand wanting everything to go back to 'normal.'
