Pregnant after IF

Loss of pregnancy symptoms?

Yes, I know I am being neurotic!
So, I am 7.5 weeks and I have totally lost my pregnancy symptoms. I know I should probably be grateful, but instead, I am totally panicking. It took so much to actually get me pregnant that now I just a total basket case!
Has this happened to anyone else?

Re: Loss of pregnancy symptoms?

  • I have had this happen a couple of times but they came back after a couple of days. When I was about 6 weeks, it was accompanied by spotting. Boobs weren't sore and even felt deflated. I was sure I was MC'ing that time but I've three ultrasounds since then and all is well. I know it's a mind game, but hang in there! The symptoms will probably come back with a vengeance.

  • Hi Ladies, just wondering if any of you have occasional cramping on one side of the uterus? Is this normal for early pregnancy?
  • My symptoms were/are all over the place too. Some days I would feel completely unpregnant...but it comes back.

I've also had cramping on one side. It was never to the point where I was doubled over or anything, but definitely persistent pain.

  • Yup, this definitely happened to/is happening to me.  My boobs were insane a couple weeks ago, they haven't shrunk but they're certainly not sore like they were.  I also stopped getting hot flashes, flushed cheeks and chapped lips.  So far I really haven't had much nausea at all.  However, some days my boobs are a little more sore than they were the day before, so that comes and goes.  And I've also noticed that as much as I'm not nauseous I do have some serious food aversions.  In addition, I now can see my veins all over my body - especially my boobs and the tops of my thighs.  They're not varicose or anything, it just almost looks like my skin is more translucent, but I think it's just the increased blood flow pushing them towards the skin - I know this is a symptom.  So as many symptoms there were that went away, they've been replaced by new ones.  Just count yourself as lucky!  That's how I'm trying to look at it, but I know it can totally be concerning.

RG0405 I wouldn't call them cramps, but it almost feels like ovulation "cramping" on the sides where my ovaries are.  It's not all the time, but every now and then I'll feel a twinge and it'll go away shortly after.  I wouldn't worry about it.

  • I'm so glad I found this post because I had the same worries a week ago! My nausea had kicked in and then suddenly disappeared for two days. I was so worried I called my nurse to ask for my progesterone levels to be checked. I couldn't justify another ultrasound because I had just had one the day before. lol My progesterone was nice and high. Then low and behold the nausea returned. You ladies are right, every day is a little different.

  • The timing of this post is perfect!  I was just going to post the same thing!!  Friday afternoon I felt zero symptoms, I actually made it until my normal bedtime (for weeks I've passed out on the coach over an hour earlier than usual), and I didn't have any weird dreams for the first time in a month.  And I only got up to pee once Friday night (as opposed to the 2-3 times I've been averaging the past few weeks.  As of Friday, I was 7wk2d.  I called the RE on-call Saturday morning and she said it was probably just a normal freak-out, but to come in and get an u/s just to be sure.  So DH and I went in yesterday morning and had an u/s.  Both babies are still perfect, and we got to see and hear their heartbeats for the first time.  Nothing more reassuring than that!  The RE said that after dealing with IF for so long, all of the patients there are so in tune with their bodies that they notice every little change in symptoms, so just about everyone has the same freak-out at some point between 7-9 weeks, and it's always good just to call and come in and be reassured that everything's ok, rather than be anxious and worrying, which isn't good for the babies. I felt a million times better when we got home yesterday, and of course by yesterday afternoon the nausea and fatigue was back!
