Party before or after christmas bday?

in Toddlers: 24 Months+

My son's birthday is 12/25, I'm trying to decide if we should do his party before or after christmas. Right now I'm leaning towards Jan. 4th. (We'll still do cake on his actual birthday with family, this is the first year he has friends his age so I want to have a separate party.) My husband thinks we should do it before. So I'm taking a poll. What do you think?

    After. People have a lot of Christmas parties and other holiday obligations on the weekends.

    I would do it after.  My kids birthdays are 12/28 and 12/31, we're going to do their party either 1/4 or 1/11.  Everyone just feels rushed and stressed out during the holidays, and especially on weekends are trying to get their shopping done. I think you'll have a much better turn out in January!

    After, there is so much going on before the holidays. I know myself would find it hard to make time to go to a birthday party before.

    My daughter's birthday is 12/24. My immediate family comes over for lunch and cake on 12/24 then we do her birthday party the second weekend of January. Just enough time to have people recuperate from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
