They are ugly.  If you're a child of the 70s or 80s you probably wore some...

Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!

I dislike them but the one thing I do like is they actually look like kids clothing. I hate toddlers and preschoolers dressed as adults--the picture of that little girl in the knee high boots and dress hav posted yesterday gave me the heebie Jeebies.

I don't like them but they are very very typical in the south. I swear there were like 5 stores we passed walking around savannah that carried them. They are NMS but I don't think they are ugly. I think there is a line between dressing kids like and adult and dressing them like a doll.

I will confess that DH is getting on my nerves. Remember when I was all like "wah he won't get enough parental leave wahh." Well... I still feel that way on principal, but he's killing me. Then I feel all guilty for not being all sweet and in love with him during his time off.

Also -- he just left to pick us up some breakfast. DD was begging to go with him. He didn't want to take her. But I was like, "what if she gets ready super fast" within DD's earshot. And now they are out together and my house is quiet. Evil? Undermining? Whatever, I'm here in a quiet home for at least half an hour.

I feel you. I love my dh dearly but I am team I need time away from him. He was home until dd was three weeks old and I was anxious for him to get back to work around the two week mark.

Yeah, it's way better to dress your kid as a walking billboard for Gap or Children's Place.

Its a matter of personal preference I would rather see a kid dressed in CP or The gap than smocked stuff.

I'm terrible, terrible, at putting DD on a tight schedule. We always have something to do, or somewhere to go, and I only keep a schedule for a few days. I KNOW I'm doing her a disservice, but I just can't. I said "she'll be on a schedule when she starts eating solids." Nothing. I'm lying to  myself now saying that she'll be on a tighter schedule once she starts preschool and regular ballet classes next March.
I hate schedules, and I know they're good for DD, but it is really hard!

My girls wear smocked dresses on occasion but I prefer gap/oldnavy and crew cuts for everyday!
My FFFC is my kids just dumped a box of goldfish on the floor and are happily playing in it. I'm letting them just so I can drink my coffee in peace!

DD is taking swimming lessons, and I HATE the feeling that I have when I have to take off my clothes and show myself in a bathing suit. It goes away quickly, but I hate feeling like an insecure teenager.

I love smocked dresses and DD is wearing one for her birthday. There are some horrible ones, yes, but the cute ones are cuter than any other dresses out there.

We just found out SD's sister is pregnant and I am not at all happy for her. We're 90% certain she stopped taking her bc and tricked her boyfriend into it, because he was 100% against having kids.

This news just makes me want to pack up and move to the other side of the country. She already thinks its all about her... Now it's going to be worse, and I'm sure she's going to hound DH for money.

I'm also conveniently going to have plans on the day of her shower and gender reveal, because I'm sure she'll have one of those, too.

i am in & from the south & i find maybe 10% of smocked clothing cute. i cringe at a LOT of FB pics.  my FFC is that i totally judge a mom i know who complains a lot about not having money, about her teacher's salary, how she wishes she could stay home.......but i found a FB page she created for her son's "closet." apparently lots of moms who dress kids in smocked clothes have these FB pages, showing wardrobe by season (specifically marked "not yet for sale") & items for sale. she has a few posts where she talks about how much she's spent on his clothes, how many never even get worn.

I don't mind smocked clothing for little girls. Some of it is cute (some of it is horrible, but that's true of anything). I just dislike it on little boys.

I really can't believe how much time people put into thinking about their kids clothing. This whole smocked vs. Justice deal is too much.

Oh geez, I take back my confession. Please don't let this whole thing be about clothes!

I have one, but it is lame. I was cleaning out our fridge freezer that hasn't been cleaned out for probably six-seven months. I found three cartons if ice cream in there. One hadn't been opened yet but I threw it as we obviously wouldn't eat it. I know there are two more cartons of ice cream in our other freezer too. Evidently, we like the idea of ice cream, but don't follow through in the finishing of the carton.

Spinning off of what lyingliar said, I know several people who have "facebook yard sales". They take pictures of their stuff in an album and list the prices and then share the pictures. It makes me really uncomfortable. Way more uncomfortable than a regular yard sale. I don't know why. Maybe because the descriptions sometimes say things like, "nice jeans, some tears at the bottom and a hole on the right seam. $2." And I just think, it can't be worth the effort for $2. I don't know. I hate them and I wish they weren't a "thing".

    Just use Ebay!

For my birthday I told DH I didn't really want anything but then tickets went on sale for a concert I would really love to go. I mentioned it to him and was hoping he would take the hint. He didn't and so now I am a little pissed.

I have gotten so lazy about shopping that everything I, DH and the kids wear is from Old Navy. Everything.

My kid is TOTALLY in a smocked shirt at school today.  The last time she wore it, her teacher complimented her/it.  I also freaking adore my Old Navy hoodie. I could care less that it says Old Navy on the front. I like Old Navy, I don't care if I display that.  Plus, it's the most comfy thing I own.  I also wear sneakers with jeans.  So maybe I'm not fashionable. But I'm sure comfortable! :)

I know I want a gap between my babies. But when I see baby bumps or baby announcements, I get baby fever. I hated it when I was pregnant and miss it all at the same time. I was even a little jealous when my SIL was in the hospital having her baby.

My husband also doesn't want to talk to me about it cause he wants the gap even more than I do

clothes are boring, i totally agree, so i confess to judging names too. these are some names i've heard in just the last week: Nickson-Kye (spelled like the president-hawaiian name, yes it's hypenated, & I don't want it to be googlable since it's so unique) Walker, sibset of Sanders, Pearce, & Will.

All are girls except for Will.

i usually don't post names i don't care for but it's been a bad week for them lol.

I actually like Pierce spelled correctly, love Will and Walker is okay.

This week I heard Anniston for a boy which IMO is terrible.
Walker & Pearce (which is just a different spelling, it's not unique) are girls, did you catch that? Will is the only boy of all the names listed.

My DH and I were having a convo this morning and it sparked a FFFC! He wants 3 kids and I want 4!
So I secretly hope to get pregnant with twins so I can get 4 and he won't have a choice!

I like the Gap and Old Navy stuff that isn't covered in logos. You can't seem to find that for boys. This kid will be wearing smocked stuff at 10 at this rate. I love Crewcuts for boys and girls at any age.

Here is one not clothing related because clothes are boring.
My BFF and I were having a discussion about married men cheating.  It came up because she went on a date with a man to find out he was married...when his wife called her!  I don't get the hate with the "other woman".  It was YOUR husband that cheated.  How was she supposed to know when he is presenting himself as single?  I think the hate should be totally directed at the cheating spouse.  But I find this to be an UO because most other people we were with said they'd be furious with everyone involved.  I mean I get it, if he cheats with your BFF or someone that is close to you, but random people that you don't even know, I just don't get it.

Amen, sista. I think those women who want to blame the other woman don't want to put blame on their sweet, precious husband. He only cheated because that hussy made him!!!11!!

I am so scared of getting pregnant with twins. A twin pregnancy combined with half as much sleep, twice as much work to care for 2 newborns, twice as many clothes, diapers, formula... I wanted twins before DD, now I can't imagine doing it. I have so much respect for people who manage to keep their sanity with multiples.

I still don't get what the BFD is with character clothes. Oh noes my 3 year old is wearing a Lightning McQueen shirt!!!!111!
uhh since i think i brought up character clothes i just want to be clear that i was totally kidding. it's an overdone topic on the bump & it was a huge deal one day on this board. DS somehow loves spiderman & batman even though he's never seen them. he's got a fuzzy elmo hoodie, thomas train, etc. that he loves & i love that he gets excited about them.

I love the caters clothes with a animal faces on the bum! I bought the outfit @sagen posted in newborn, 6 months and 12 months.

I left ds in a wet diaper for 15 mins because 1) I had put the diaper on him ( I felt it fill up as I did the last snap on his onesie) and 2) I was just about to start getting his bath ready. I feel horrible about it still. He didn't care so I guess it bothered me more then him!

Oh that's so true! I hadn't thought very far into that confession! Ha! I'm sure twins on top of 2 toddlers would be exhausting! I just want my 4th kid! Ha!
