Pregnant after IF

Started working out

Ladies-

After 3 months of absolute stillness, I started working out again (after years of consistent exercise). I am so sore and I feel sooooo good. My butt hurts, my biceps hurt.... Yesss! :) i'm taking it slow but it still hurts. My goal is to hit gym 3 times per week and 1 day for a walk. I need to be able to walk up stairs w/o loosing breath!!! Can't deal with this anymore.

Downside is having to avoid people I know at the gym due to fear of them asking why I'm so "pudgy". I am so self-concious and only 7weeks so not comfortable sharing.

Just wanted to share this. Hehe.

Have an awesome thursday!

Re: Started working out

  • I started working out around 10 weeks (23 wks now) and I feel incredible. I think it really helps. I do fast walking and elliptical

  • Good job! Working out is great for you all the way around, so keep it up! :)

I have been released to start walking/use elliptical but I'm still nervous. I am thinking of waiting till 10 weeks. For some reason that's my magic time frame for everything, lol. I haven't worked out since we started IVF in Sept. I really, really miss bike riding, but that's not going to be cleared this pregnancy in case I get hit/fall :(

  • That's awesome!  I was cleared to start light exercising again, too, a couple weeks ago!  I wish it was still warm out so that I could walk outside, but the treadmill and spin classes it will be.  I feel like I also need to at get back into some upper body toning so that I can actually lift baby.

  • Of course, my hairstylist said "i hope aren't exercising. If you are going to walk make them really short".

This is all so confusing... But I'm sticking to my low intensity workouts until I hit 2nd tri. Then, if I feel good and ovaries go down, I'll bump up to moderate.

My butt and arms are still a little sore. Yipeeeee!
