I am glad that it sounds like the process is over for you. Can you tell me how far along in the pregnancy you were and what your expulsion experience was like that made you feel like the cytotec worked? I took 2 vaginal doses on Friday and two oral doses on Saturday. Friday night I had a short period of passing prune sized clots and dripping a little blood. But since then I have only been spotting, not having period flow. It seemed the oral cytotec did nothing on sat and I wonder if it is becausee it is already gone or because it was ienffective.I cant believe how little blood there has been after passing the clots.

I'm not sure about how quickly your period returns with a natural miscarriage vs. D & C, there is so much individual variation I think it might depend more on the person. I'm glad that the Cytotec seemed to have worked, I hope you don't have to have a D & C.

I found my missed m/c at 11 weeks, but the baby stopped growing at 9 weeks exactly. I had some bright red bleeding, then passed a large "clot" (orange sized)- was most likely the placenta, and I actually saw the fetus :-( Wish my docotor had prepared me for that. So, I know it worked......it is just a matter of whether my uterus expelled all of the placenta. After passing all that. ihave had some heavy to moderate bleeding.
ManchesterBride - I am so sorry you had to go through that. My first experience in Nov was similar (the gestational age and the m/c experience). It's so horrible and I am sorry you had to deal with that. :-( At least that part is over now, and if you've made it through that, you can make it through anything.
I go for a f/u tomorrow to see if I passed everything.

Thanks. I know it sucks big time, huh? I also go in for a follow up tomorrow to see if I passed everything, so I will be thinking of you as well. Hope all goes well!
