Christmas tree rudeness!

So, today, DH and I put up our Christmas tree. I put a picture on facebook so my mother, whom i cant currently text a picture, and people were being very rude saying i was STUPID and I destroyed thanksgiving. First of all YES I know its early. Second of all how dare anyone judge a christmas tree? My husband and I have been having an AWFUL time lately. He is in some trouble career wise for his Army MOS, our 4th month old puppy has to have risky surgery that if it doesn't succeed we will have AMPUTATE her leg, I just quit/lost my job (drs orders for baby/my health), and problems with the baby, that I haven't dealt with enough to tell anyone...even on here. Its been rough and we wanted a little christmas magic a little early this year. I feel so down already and this is like the cherry on top. Should it bother me this much, no prolly not but I just cannot take anymore.

A little back story...DH wanted to put tree up to cheer me up I think bc, big shocker, I have NEVER had a Christmas tree growing up nor have I ever decorated one and he knows how much I have been looking forward to this Christmas.

On a side note here is my Christmas tree, which I think is beautiful. For a first timer, whose only help was a guy, so if its really ugly or done wrong just don't burst my bubble please.

I apologize for the length of this..rant I guess you could call it. I could very well be a psycho, I don't know.

Why worry about the opinions of others? I celebrated Thanksgiving in October, so I don't understand how you would be ruining it. I usually wait until December 1st, and at least until after Remembrance Day. When we go to visit family for Christmas I always put it up early since we celebrate early and don't get to enjoy our tree on Christmas.

People are so stupid, if you want a tree, have a tree! It looks beautiful! We have ours up and I'm planning on decorating it tomorrow. Anyone who has a problem with that can suck it.

And I'm Christmas crazy person. If my husband would allow I would also have a tree up. Don't let the bah humbug people ruin it for you. They just don't understand the happiness the holidays bring

Why would they care at all what you tree looks like or that you put it up early ffs!! Everybody has to weigh in on shit that doesn't affect them at all it seems and be rude for no reason. I say BOO to those haters.

I'm so sorry you guys have been having a hard time, I think putting up a tree now is a great idea as a pick me up!

I personally am not a fan of Christmas before Thanksgiving, but that is just me.... I would never tell anyone else how or when to celebrate their holidays. So, having said that... IGNORE THEM!!! There are too many negative people in this world. I think it looks beautiful, and it was so sweet of your husband to want to put it up to cheer you up. Since it's what makes you happy, enjoy your tree, your wonderful husband and your Christmas magic, and hopefully it will be a little bit of joy in the lousy time you guys have been having. Thoughts & prayers that things start to look up for you soon.

Like you I didn't have much Christmas magic growing up. Your tree is beautiful and I'm proud of you for having that tradition for your kid(s).

My husband had a dog growing up that lost a leg from chasing cars. He said that he was the best dog his family ever had.

Thank you everyone...i thought it looked a little rough but I googled Christmas trees and just went from the pictures I saw lol I love it. We aren't having a Thanksgiving family this year. DH will be gone and I don't have anyone down here so I'm just gonna go out, without making a big fuss about it. Which is part if the reason we felt it wasn't so bad to do it this early.

@JoelleOK I know she will be fine if they take her leg its just stressful because this could have been prevented even though it was an accident and I feel like such an awful dog owner/mama. Her and our lab are our babys.

While I feel Christmas should stay in December, it's really about the magic of the Christmas so if magic is what you needed bring it on. Screw the haters! It your house. If it makes you feel better I am counting down the days I can put antlers and a nose on my SUV.

Screw them! If it makes you happy, that's all that matters. It's not obscenely early - a couple of weeks earlier than I usually do, but so what? If their Thanksgiving is ruined because you have a tree up - they seriously need to remove the tree from their asses, too. Might help a bit.

FWIW - Your tree is beautiful! It came out prettier than mine does and I've decorated trees since I could hold an ornament. Turn off the lights and enjoy the tree lights.

Your Christmas tree is beautiful and those people are just stupid. Just because you put up a tree doesn't mean you're boycotting thanksgiving or something. Who cares? Also, you should leave up that Christmas tree as long as you want. I had an aunt who was obsessed with ornaments and would leave her tree up year round and just change the ornaments. (Patriotic for 4th of July, fallish ones for thanksgiving, etc.) It was awesome. I say rock out with your Christmas c*ck out if that's what makes you happy.

Ahhh, enjoying the evening sitting next to my Christmas tree too! It is my favorite holiday so I choose to start decorating early. And it makes me happy. And critics can stick it you know where.

I don't understand how it could ruin anybody else's thanksgiving?! Some people need to mind their own business. I love Christmas decorations and they make me happy just looking at them. Screw the haters, do what makes you happy.

Awe your tree is pretty! I think it's dumb that people were giving you crap about it. They have no idea what's going on in your life and if you need a Christmas tree to lighten up the mood then who cares?! I have been wanting to out mine up and the only reason why I haven't is because I don't have any energy lol. Enjoy your tree!! And I hope things calm a bit for you soon

I don't understand why people don't like Christmas decorations up
Before Christmas? It's not like I am not thankful and don't eat turkey ! I still celebrate thanksgiving with the same joy as I would without it . In fact it wouldn't feel like thanksgiving to me without it!

Growing up my mom always had the tree and decorations up by Thanksgiving and we would light up the house thanksgiving night! It was so magical.

I continued that tradition with my family and wouldn't change it for the world.

I am starting my decorations and tree setting up (I have 3 trees) and It takes a long time to get everything up so I will be starting this weekend! Just in time for thanksgiving:)

P.s annnnnd I have been listening to Christmas music since November 1st.

Haters will hate.
I have no shame in my game.

Sorry people are being so rude! I'm sure most people wouldn't have said anything if they knew everything you were going through, even though their ignorance doesn't justify their comments. That does suck though that you had to deal with that on top of everything else! Maybe email in the future if there's ever another situation like this so you can avoid people's comments. (Sorry if any of this was repetitive if others' comments. I didn't read everything.)

Thank you guys a lot! I have calmed down a bit since yesterday...it just seemed like a mountain yesterday bc I was already overwhelmed but this morning when i got up DH had turned the tree lights on instead of the lamps and it made it alright. Its beautiful. Yesterday was the first day in about 3 weeks that we didn't worry about money or the army or our pup lorie or anything... We just decorated together, we laughed and had fun...looking b ack on it I'd put my tree up every day to have that magic. So I'm ok to let the rudeness go. All of your encouragement helped too you guys are a great group of ladies! ♥

Your tree is beautiful! I totally made a wreath the other day and if I could get it hung by myself on my outside fireplace- it would be UP and LIT! I LOVE Christmas and decorate like crazy.

Thanksgiving is in October here so after Remembrance Day (Veteran's Day for Americans) on Monday I declare it free for all on Christmas music. The only reason my tree isn't going up is that I don't feel like yelling at K for 2 months about not touching the sparkly tree. But it will go up on December 1st!

I usually put up a tree before Thanksgiving! Just with lights then we decorate it Thanksgiving night. I just spoke with my brother last weekend & he & his wife just put up all their Xmas decor! His wife is in med school & they rarely have a whole weekend together so they did it when they could.

I see Christmas decorations all over now! To each their own :-)

Your tree is beautiful! Just because it's a little ahead of time doesn't mean you can't put a tree in your home. Sorry for your rough times, I hope things get better. I would much rather see a Christmas tree in November rather then Christmas lights up all year which our lovely neighbors do.
