Anatomy scan/ Gender:Ladies due around or on 4/18

I am due 4/18 and my drs office will not do the AS until I am 20-22weeks. We have thought about doing an Elective ultrasound, but don't really wanna spend the extra $$$, as they are at least $100. Is this a norm for drs offices, they didn't even offer us an elective us through them , not sure if this is something they would do, but it's so annoying

. At our NT screening the tech said it was more than likely a girl, but I can't bank on that and I'm dyinggg to know. When are you all supposed to find out???

I just know that so many women are finding out at 18 weeks, because at is when they are having their anatomy scans, so it's frustrating that I might have to wait until 22weeks!

My edd is the 15th and we are going on the 22nd. I always wanted a 3d ultrasound and didn't want to spend the money. Then we got some not so great news and I will know have my 20 week at maternal fetal medicine which does 3d ultrasound.. Be careful for what you wish for.

I'm due 4/14 and my AS is on the 27th. The best time frame for an AS is between 18-22 weeks but most doctors want it as close to 20 weeks as possible. I don't think I've ever heard of a practice that offers elective scans in house since finding out the sex is just a bonus and is not medically necessary.

My midwife wanted me to wait until 20 weeks because I'm not a skinny girl. She said it would be easier to see the baby.

She not very chubby girl friendly but I guess she's trying. I'm due 04/14 my u/s is on the 20th of nov.

I know it's not medically necessary, and I wasn't sure it's something they would do, which I why I stated it. Again that's why I was asking when everyone AS is. We have a few friends who go to different practices, one here in OH whose dr office did the gender scan, and another in PA who also did a gender scan, only 2d, but that's not it I was more curious as to know when people were getting their AS done, sorry I didn't clearly state/phrase that right.

I'm due 4/19, and because im also non-skinny, lol, and my doc is only in the office 2 days a week, mine isnt until the first week of December. UGH lol.

It'll be a good birthday present, as my b-day is 12/11.

ETA, I'm also in Ohio and it seems as though its common enough for my doc to say 'when do you guys want to come in to see what this little baby is!?' .. no mention of anything besides gender, lol.

I found a place in my area that does gender reveal ultrasounds and it started at 50$. Maybe there is something like that in your area as well?

I should add, im due April 17th, my AS isnt scheduled until Dec 7th, so I decided not to wait, and scheduled as soon as I hit 16 weeks. Found out Im having twin boys And got to see the 3d ultrasound, was pretty cool.

This. I'm due 4/17 and my AS is scheduled for 11/25. I know it's hard to keep in mind because you're curious about the sex, but they do the AS for other reasons and the sex is just a bonus, so unfortunately we have to wait! I wouldn't spend the $100 - just try to be patient! It'll make the surprise that much more sweet!

my previous ob had a 3d ultrasound so they offered that as an elective ultrasound but not until 24 weeks lol.

I'm due 4/16 and have no idea when I'll have the a/s. I have my 20 week appt in December but my office doesn't have u/s machines so that's when they will "write my perscription" to have the a/s done elsewhere. I've considered going to an elective place but don't want to pay. I guess I'll have to wait.

I'm due 4/18 and I have my A/S Nov. 18th but it is not with my midwives it is with a mfm specialist because of my previous child having a heart condition. They want to do one a little early and then possibly have me come back in a few weeks to see how things grew.

I'm due 4/16 and my a/s is on the 13th right at 18w. My dr said it was perfectly fine to do it then so of course we scheduled it for the soonest possible

yeah we did do the Harmony test, so we know the gender already, but we don't get our A/S until 22 weeks either. My dr. office also does them between 20-22 weeks.

But they do offer an elective US between 16 and 18 weeks to peak at the gender and it is about 100 bucks or so.

I'm due 4/18 and I'm scheduled to have mine at 18 weeks. We have to see a maternal fetal specialist for a level 2 ultrasound because of family history.

My OB offers elective ultrasounds in their office as well.

I'm due 4/18 and have mine on Nov 27th. I'll be 19w5d. I'm team green, so finding out the gender isn't something I'm anxious about. But I would say don't spend the extra money and just wait. December will be here before you know it!

Due 4/17 and mine is scheduled for a/s 11/25 . 20 weeks is a standard in fact I wouldn't want it any earlier. the more developed the baby is the better chance to make sure all is ok with the formation of the baby. Heart, brain, limbs the gender of the baby is just a cherry on top.

My doctor offers elective gender "sneak peeks" for $50 bucks I have never done one I always wait for my a/s but I know a lot of people do.

My EDD is 4/18, and our anatomy scan is 11/25. At the first tri screen, the dr and the tech both thought girl- but said it was still too early to be certain.
I thought about going and getting an elective one, but didn't feel too strongly about it.

I'm due 4/12 and our scan will be 11/18, which would put me at 19 weeks. They didn't really give me an option.

That's the normal time to find out! Trust me I am dying waiting until our appointment!!! Mine expected due date is April 12 and my ultrasound is November 18th and that's the last one I get.

I am due on the 18th as well, and I have my AS on the 22nd of November at 19 weeks. You can pay here to in BC, but I just don't see the point now since I am already almost 17 weeks. Do they tell you ladies at the scan?? Here they don't, you have to call your maternity doc/midwife.

I'm due 4/17 and I find out 11/21. My doctor said make an appt between 19-22wks. Of course, I made the earliest which is nov 21st the day I turn 19wks.

Due April 20th. Anatomy scan is dec 3rd. I decided to get and elective. Yes I have to drop $100..... However I'm so impatient it's worth it! I find out in less than 4 hours!!!!!

Due date is 4-14, the scheduler said I could make the appt anytime starting 11-11, so we are going 11-13.... They schedule starting at 18 weeks, and want me to go before my next appt on the 22nd. Now I just have to decide if I want to know the gender or not!

I have the same OB and the same US tech as I did when I was pregnant with DS. Three years ago the US tech preferred to do the A/S at 20 weeks. This year, he prefers to do them at 18 weeks. I am due 4/20 and I have my A/S scheduled for 11/22. We're team green though, so no gender reveal for us until April!

I have to schedule mine around 18-20 wks we are both due in the 18!!!!! But we aren't finding out the sex so I am not that anxious about it since I have 4 more months to find out the sex but usually is around 18-20 weeks be patient it's only a couple more weeks and you want them to right! Don't wanna buy girl stuff and end up being a boy

I'm due 4/18 and we had an elective 3D u/s on Oct. 25th (15 weeks pregnant) and the tech said she is definitely a girl. Baby was cooperating and we got a few good shots between the legs. There were three lines which the tech said is labia. The 3d place we went to offered different packages. The most affordable package was $65.00 but we decided to go with the $100.00 package because it included a recorded DVD of the u/s and more 3d pics. I would shop around different 3D ultrasound places and ask what packages they offer. We have a anatomy scan at 20 weeks with my OB/GYN. I'm curious to see if anything has changed...but the tech at the 3D ultrasound office said she is 99% certain our baby is a girl.

Maybe you could suggest the 3D u/s as a gift from someone??? It was a great experience for us and it would make a wonderful gift. I am thinking of buying a package for my best friend.

I'm due 4/15 and a/s is scheduled for 12/4. We did decide to do an elective u/s though, because DH is going to be gone for the anatomy and he really wanted to see baby. Went in this past Monday at 16w6d and the tech could clearly see the sex. It was $80 for the u/s, normally we wouldn't have bothered for the elective, but because of the circumstances we decided to do it this time around.

I'm due 4/14 and I am scheduled for my anatomy scan the day before Thanksgiving (11/27). My DH and I are looking at it as a nice little holiday gift. I know it would have been nice to find out sooner but with the selling of our place and the buying of the new one we wouldn't have had the time or money do start the nursery yet anyway. This just gives us an excuse to put off the work a little longer.

EDD is 4/19 and I have my appt scheduled for 11/25....but my doctors office was very stern on the fact that they don't do the ultrasounds earlier than 20 weeks, they prefer 20-22 weeks. We, as the parents, are anxious to know the sex of the baby, but this scan is timed accordingly so they can do measurements and make sure everything is progressing properly. It doesn't seem like a lot of would change between 2 weeks, but think about how much development is actually happening in that time with the baby! With saying that, I'm dying to find out what the sex of the baby is, 3 weeks seems so far away!! But it'll be here before we know it!

I'm due 4/16 and just scheduled for next friday, the 15th at 18w2d. He wanted a bit closer to 19 weeks, two weeks from today, but DH can only go mondays or fridays and they don't do them mondays, so I went ballsy and scheduled it a few days before we discussed lol. My next appointment is at 21 weeks and I asked if I could do my ultrasound a different day earlier instead of waiting and he said sure.

Seeing my nurse practitioner for my 16 week and she said she would sneak me in to see if we can see the sex. She just made me schedule the appt right before lunch. Not going to go out and buy anything pink or blue bc I've heard it can chnage at 20 weeks, but still so excited! Hope the little babe cooperates!

I'm due 4/15 & getting a/s on Nov. 22nd. My doc let me schedule it with radiology as long as I was 19-20 weeks. I personally would just wait it out!! I would only pay for an additional one if they can't see the goods at the a/s. Baby didn't cooperate at NT scan for doc to guess so I'm a little nervous this time!!
