I need some advice. My son takes forever to fall asleep. I'm talking 2-3am before he finally falls asleep (Still wakes up around 8 or 9). Now, in the last 2 weeks, he has had 3 night terrors, and last night James watched him open his door, walk to the kitchen, stand there for a while, and then walk to our room and pass out half on the bed and half on the glider (like sleepwalking?). He has an appointment tomorrow, and the nurse said. He would probably get a referral to a specialist. Has anyone's child done something like this? I hate the night terrors since there is nothing I can do to help and he can't wake up during one.

Oh that sounds stressful and I'm sorry but I have no advice at all that I feel comfortable giving in this situation. Did you get a referral to a specialist? What did the Dr. suggest?
I sure hope this phase doesn't last long for you though. Please keep us posted, if you don't mind. I'm very curious about night terrors and all things sleep related, I was a crazy sleep walker when I was a kid.
I don't have any advice either, though I did go through a sleep walking phase when I was about 11. I did it three times and never since. I really hope you are able to get help.

The doctor had nothing meaningful to say, just that he would outgrow it. He's been having problems falling asleep for months now. We are supposed to just keep doing what we're doing
