I voted never, but I'm a crazy mom like that. I tried to put Gia in her crib for a bout 2 weeks after DH got home from Iraq (she was around 6 mos at the time), and it was a bad situation for everyone. She's 3.5 now, and I just started having her sleep in her toddler bed 2 nights ago. Zoe and I are in the room with her though so she's not alone.
I enjoy having the girls in bed with me or at least in the same room as me. I sleep way better with them being close.
He seems to like his crib way more than the pnp so I'm thinking we will transition way sooner than I initially planned to. I always thought I would do it once he was sleeping through the night. Then I came home with a live baby and discovered he wouldn't sleep in the pnp!
I said 2-6 months but really we are bed sharing and I don't know if I'll ever put him in his crib. Might never planned on bed sharing but he won't sleep anywhere else. I guess we will see! It will probably be closer to a year if/when we do.
My LO won't sleep anywhere but with me, but we are desperately trying to get him to sleep in his cradle. So hopefully we will make it to the 2-6 month category!
Our nursery is a floor away from us seeing as the entire top floor is our master bedroom so I am not even close to being ready to have Eli so far away from me as of yet.
I'll transition once she completely sttn. Right now she wakes at 4:30. If I can get her to sleep until at least 5:30 then I'll switch. If she's not there by 10 weeks then I'll transition anyways. I go back to work at 14 weeks and I need her out of our room before then.
We just transitioned last night at 2 weeks. So no option to click for me.
DD is 2 weeks, and we're thinking about trying to transition this week...maybe even tonight. She is such a noisy sleeper that I'm hoping we'll all do better with a little space. No hope for STTN any time soon, though.
As soon as she sleeps through the night we will try to get her in the nursery. It's on the other side of the house and would be a pain right now as she still wakes at least once every night.
I think I'm gonna do it around 6months. I plan on nothing but the boob until then so it will make it easier since his nursery is downstairs. Plus I would like to get through the winter with him upstairs with us. I have a sneaky suspicion that it gets a little chilly downstairs in the winter.
We will transition around 2 months. Right now she's in a bassinet next to our bed, it's just easier to have her right in our room with us while she's still nursing so frequently at night. We transitioned DS around 4 months and I'd like do try it a little earlier this time.
We're a little backwards here. LO has been sleeping in her crib from the beginning but I've been sleeping in the nursery with her. We got a really nice recliner and it's super comfy but at some point, I'm going to have to start sleeping in our room again. I hadn't really thought much about when that will be. Probably when she starts sttn or when I go back to work.
Both DD and DS have slept in their own rooms, in their own beds, since day one. DD was and DS is so noisy when they're falling asleep that if they were in the room with us, we would be zombies.

This is why we switched already bc DD is a very noisy sleeper. She did great her first night. And I slept so much better!

He has been in his crib since we was 4 days old. He hated the small crib that we had in our room. We have a video monitor so I'm still able to see him. His room is right next to ours

Awesome. That gives me hope! Do you use a monitor? We plan to, and did w/DS, but I can't remember if I still woke up hearing every little noise over the dumb thing anyway. DD's room is a little further away, and I want to hear her early enough that she doesn't wake her big brother. That said, if I have to have the monitor on super loud, it won't be worth the extra walk.
We are planning on 6 months but we will see how it goes. LO sleeps 3-4 hours between BFing now and I quietly take her to the nursery 2x night to feed and for a diaper change so DH and I all get to share a room and are getting a decent amount of sleep. I'm pretty happy for now and the thought of not having her in her RNP next to me at night makes me kind of sad so I guess we will just see.

Yes I use a monitor and I don't hear every little grunt through it. When she starts actually fussing I hear her.

She wouldn't dare disobey!
