Scary end to the day

So I started my new job today. It's awesome, and I love it. It will be a very memorable first day, and not just because it's the fifth of November.
As I was crossing the street on my way to my car, I tripped on the curb and fell. I had Liam in a carrier on my front. I tried to stop from falling, but with his weight in front of me, I couldn't.
I went down hard and did my best to protect him. It happened so fast, I wasn't sure that I was successful. Luckily there happened to be a paramedic walking down the other side of the street and he came to help us. Liam was scared and crying, but didn't have a scratch on him and started smiling at the guy after a minute. Thank God.
My left hand is pretty mangled. There's a big, open hole in the heel of my palm. It hurts like a bitch. I have a feeling it's also sprained. I've got a skinned knee and a hole in my cute new pants. I don't even care about that. I was so scared that LO's head smacked the concrete, I just kept crying and picturing the back of his little head all smashed. My heart is still racing and my stomach feels sick. ::Shudder::

IT'S A BOY
I went had shut off the car and directed the medics to my sister and nephew. As soon as they walked in, they were panicked because of how "swollen" my nephews head was. My sis and I both looked at it and said, "No it's always that big" lol. He was 12lbs 1oz when he was born. I tell people his head weighed 8lbs and his body 4lbs. My sis signed the refusal and took him to the pedi and he was fine.
