Teeth

Hi Moms,
Are any of you experiencing sleeping issues with LO teething? Usually my LO catnaps throughout day, but generally has one, 2hr nap mid-afternoon. Lately, LO has been teething super bad and sleeping more than usual during day. LO still sleeps at night like normal, but naps have become lengthened. Has anyone had this? We have been teething since 2-months (we are 5mo today)  and just anticipating the arrival of them!!

Re: Teeth

  • What makes you think she is teething? My pedi also told me at my LO's 2 month appointment that she was teething but I think he jumped the gun a little because I have yet to see any teeth (now 4 mo). I have read somewhere that at this age they find their hands and chew/suck which causes extra drooling. Not necessarily a sign of teething. Maybe your LO is going through a growth spurt instead, they usually sleep more during those... Just a thought :)

  • The gums on the bottom are less pink and have some hints of white. When I stick my finger in there and he chews on them there is defiantly teeth trying to come up. You can tell the difference from the front gums to the backs or the sides.

  • The only sleep issues I ever notice is when they don't sleep.  As long as the longer naps are not bothering his nighttime sleep I wouldn't be concerned.
