Ameda purely yours

So I've used my pump probably a total of 15 times and I'm pretty sure the motor is already going bad. The first few times I pumped I could get 4 oz or so in about ten minutes, now I'm barely getting 2 oz in 15 minutes. I've definitely got the supply and I can hear the motor sounding super funny. Has anyone else had problems with this pump? I'm going to call first thing in the morning and see if they can replace it.

    Mine broke on 4th use
    Customer service wasn't nice since I got it through insurance
    Got a Medela then

    Yea I got that one through insurence it seems really cheaply made and doesn't have good suckion to begin with

    There seems to be issues with the newer models they are putting out, I have had no issues with my older one. Call them.

    I did get it through insurance, I'm really hoping they can do something about it.

    I got this from insurance also but haven't used it since I was given a brand new medala pump in style.

    R&K married 4.15.11. TTC #1 since 7.11.12

    BFP #1 9.9.12 EDD 5.21.13 c/p 9.12.12 at 4 weeks 1 day

    BFP #2 10.15.12 EDD 6.28.13 c/p 10.19.12 at  4 weeks.

    BFP #3 1.19.13 EDD 10.1.13 Eleanor born 10.7.13 at 40 weeks 6 days

    I freakin love my ameda. And customer service is usually super nice to me. Maybe you just got the wrong person to speak with?

    I hate my ameda! The suction sucks I can only get 2 oz out of one side and sometimes only 1/2 an ounce at any time and I know LO is getting 3-4 oz per feeding on one side every 2 hours! I am really worried when I go back to work I am going to lose my supply!

    Those that are having problems with suction, are you using the right size phlange? Are you playing with the settings?

    I have messed with the settings... if I turn the suction up to make it harder, it slows way down and the motor sounds like it's going to die. I was fine with the phlanges about a week ago but just lately the motor sounds horrible.

    yea.. luckily I saved all of my paperwork from insurance so I'm crossing my fingers that they will replace it!

    I LOVE my Ameda purely yours. I pump almost exclusively and therefore use it 4-6 times per day and easily empty both breasts (4-6oz) I do find that the suction is a bit better when I only pump one breast at a time but it works well either way. I use the smallest flange which I think pulls the nipple best. I just got it through my insurance in August, but haven't had any problems so far

    I thought I was crazy that I've heard he motor sounding funny and only had it for a week. I'll be calling to get it replaced tomorrow!

    Most wont get that much this early on , and your baby is getting more than a pump will so dont compare. Chillax


    ETA I had one super producer boob and one mediocre one with the pump, it was just me not machine
