I'm buying my last pack of bc pills (ever, I hope!!) this month so that I can get off of them and start trying. I'm also trying to lose weight before having a baby...my BMI is 29.65 and I want to get it to a healthier level. When I stop taking the BC pill, will some of the weight that I gained as a result of starting BC come off? I'm hoping it will, but am not sure if stopping the pill will be enough to get rid of the little bit of weight that came on when I started.
Re: Getting off of the BC pill
According to most BCP websites they do not cause weight gain. That being said, this is my first cycle of BCP after 10+ years and while I haven't lost weight according to the scale I am a lot less bloated and my clothes fit better.
But as with all things BCP related, everyone is different.

I lost weight when I went on the pill all those years ago.

Best way to lose weight: Eat less, move more.
I lost 50lbs by following the principles of South Beach and going to the gym 3-4 times a week. It's whatever healthy eating plan works for you combined with what exercise works for you though. GL!
