Re: *~*~FFFC~*~*

  • If I wasn't pregnant and was still working starting today my kids would be forced to listen to Taylor Swift's "Last Christmas" until Christmas Eve during naptime. That's two hours of that song on repeat. And when it wasn't naptime they'd be forced to endure "All I want for Christmas is a Hippopotamus" every time I passed the CD player to put it back on.

Shoot me. Marlena had a plan all along to get you away from that torture!!!

I think amberrrjade is the one playing the music.

I use to have a math teacher that would play the Hippopotamus song over and over again in class. We loved it because she would dance as well.

  • I have another one. For the life of me I can't get a siggy to work and it's driving me nuts! I finally got a badge to stay put but I haven't had a siggy since the new bump. I've wasted so much time on this.

Was I your teacher? Because I do dance to it when it's on. It's like the best Christmas song.

So .... some colostrum came out this morning. No big whoop, right? Except I have yet to see anything come out, ever. So I took a close-up picture of it and sent it to my husband.

    You are welcome, honey.

I will still continue to snark at all the stranger AW drive-by posts. He married me, he knew what he was getting into.
OMG. This is why I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE you. Every time DH sees my nips he cringes a little and asks "What's that crusty stuff again?" bahaha and if I spend more than two seconds looking at it he'll throw something at me and tell me to leave it alone.

I don't know- are you about 70 years old and close to 400 pounds?

She was a weird, weird lady but very entertaining. She would eat collard greens out of a Tupperware container in class (without a utensil) and call her dogs during class on the classroom phone. The first time you got in trouble you had to sign your name to her "Lunch Bunch" board and eat with her (not a pretty sight), the second time you ate with her for 3 days on the "My Lunch Bunch Runneth Over" board, and the third time you were added to the " 'Til Death Do Us Part" board and had to eat with her for a week!

my biggest accomplishment this week may not be having a baby. It may be taking a poop post c section! Not as horrible as I expected but the fear of it was ridiculous. And Smilz and DevyynMarie- I can't believe you are still having sex! How do you possibly have the energy or flexibility?!

Postpartum deuces are no joke. I was TERRIFIED at the first poo post-birth with DD. Much more terrified than I ever was of labor.

I also can't figure out how anyone is still having sex. Unless you're just laying there and letting your partner do literally everything.

I'm just lying there and letting him do everything. Or more accurately just on my hands and knees letting him do everything. It makes him happy and hopefully it will make my cervix happy too.

  • This is a lame FFFC, but it's all I have right now. Every time I see RCS in a post I read it in my head as routine c-section rather than repeat c-section. I have no idea why!

    I'm working from home.

And by working from home, I mean accepting delivery of LO's nursery furniture, setting everything up, washing crib sheets and putting away his clothes.

I'm the best employee ever. Thanks, OB, for recognizing that I was tired (I really was! I swear!) and writing me a note so that I don't have to commute in and out of the city every day.

I'm pretty sure when I let my colleagues/bosses know that I needed to work from home per OB's orders, they thought I meant that I was starting my leave, because I barely get e-mails anymore. I'm not correcting any misconceptions, and will let HR know that I'm starting my leave once I go into labor.
I've been working from home for about 3 years now.  I've got 3 weeks of work left (unless LO decides to come on or before his due date) and I've already started "checking out".  I've got a pretty strong work ethic but lately, it SUCKS.  I just can't give a shit about projects that are going to be tackled while I'm on leave.

Have I confessed yet that H got some in his mouth during sexy time once?
he sucked a little hard, I had a pain in my boob and he popped off saying, omg I think I got milk in my mouth!!
He hasn't been quite that aggressive with them since. Teehee.

Ha, why you are reigning TMI champ!!

My nipples have been so sensitive this pregnancy. If my H even thinks about touching them I want to nut punch him. And in no way does he get to play with them during our infrequent sex encounters. Nuh-uh! No sir!

My irrational pregnant brain hates everything my mom has to say. The other day I was with a group of women and my mom, and we were talking about epidurals. I plan to go epidural-free, but I am prepared to change my mind once I am actually experiencing labor. I get the "just you wait" a lot on that topic but it doesn't really bother me because I know I might change my mind. My mom states, matter-of-factly "you won't need it." And it REALLY pissed me off, like what if I do need it? Let me worry about what I need. Ah I'm such a bitch at this point.

I have the same issue with my mom. My mom cries, like actual tears! Everytime she feels my child move.. Dramatic much??? I know she loves that the only child she could ever have (she had serious female organ problems from birth) is having her first baby but no need to cry everytime.. I'm so annoyed that I lie when she asks if the baby's moving. If she sees my stomach moving I act like its hurting me so she won't try to touch.. I'm a horrible person. But at 39 weeks I so don't care.

    Here's another:

Dominic the Italian Christmas Donkey is one of my all-time favorite Christmas songs. I know every word. And sing it with an Italian accent.

That is possibly one of the worst Christmas songs ever!

I didn't open the door when my niece and nephews stopped over for trick or treat last night.  Our trick or treat was Saturday (which I told my SIL in case they wanted to come) and I dropped a million hints that I'm not in the mood for visitors.  She has a tendency to do the "pop over" especially when she wants to AW her kids and overstay her welcome.  If she could just stop over stay for 10 minutes and leave I totally would have answered the door.  But every time she comes over it turns into 2 hours of her sitting on the couch while her children run screaming through my not-so-kid friendly house.  I also probably would have answered if she had called or texted me beforehand (so I could put on pants)-- but she didn't.

She texted me later and I pretended that I had been sleeping and answered her text a couple hours later.

I hate people who think just stopping by is ok and if or when they do it, I do not open the door. It's rude not to call and ask if you want guest and just show up.

I never minded before but bras and pants are a thing of the past when I'm home.. I told my husband once baby is here no one is to step through that door unless it has been cleared with me BEFORE they pulled in the drive way..

I'm so excited for November, not only because my daughter will be here soon, but because Christmas music plays around the clock starting today! I'm not putting my tree up yet (mostly because SO won't let me) but I will crank the holiday songs SHAMELESSLY. :)
I have been singing christmas songs for LO at least a month now....  my excuse is it is for him but really I just enjoy it :)

I'm trying to get our decorations up this week, so that I 'won't have to do it with a newborn' but in reality it is because I love the holiday spirit!
  • baby girl got an eviction date at my appointment today.  although i do believe that a vaginal birth has benefits for the baby I'm really kind of zen over this scheduled csection thing.  the kid has remained breech ever since we first saw her (NT scan), and i figure that's just what she wants.
Officially "not a pilgrim" though.  Anyone else play that game?  if you need a major medical intervention before you reach reproduction that equals not a pilgrim.  i have mildly twisted friends.

  • I haven't squeegeed the shower after I use it for the last 3 months.
  • I made a trip to L & D this evening because I had been contracting on and off all day. I was not wanting her to come this early because my DH doesn't get here until next Friday. She has to wait!!! I was there over dinner and left around 7. I was so hungry and couldn't decide what I wanted that I stopped and bought two chicken strips at Popeye's and then proceeded to the pizza shop to order a small chicken alfredo pizza and a slice of cheese pizza because I knew I'd be hungry on the drive home. I haven't pigged out like that ever I don't think. It was wonderful....but my blood sugar afterwards was reaaaaally bad. So I gave the baby a mini twix as a treat. Yep, so much for the GD tonight.
