Re: FFFC

  • @brandilc84 Isn't it amazing how you can have done this before and still feel clueless sometimes? Lol. My middle one is only 3, so it's not like it's been a tremendously long time. But, some days it feels like ages and I have no idea what I'm doing. Plus, every kid is different. We're doomed. Lol. And, outnumbered. Super combo

Yes! My kids are 6 years apart. Things change- I am doing things different with Owen now, then I did 13 years ago- and I did things different 7 years ago with my middle son. I can't remember everything, and your right...every kid is different.

And see, every time I actually make it to a computer and see your sig, I think you look so beautiful.

I would totally be on the plastic surgery train if I wan't terrified of surgery. Puts a damper on it.

    Thank you!! :)
My body has taken a serious beating carrying 3 kids though. I'm terrified of needles....not sure I would actually be able to go through elective surgery...with the whole general anesthesia to go along with that fear.

Since you're all wondering - here are my thoughts.

I like marshmallows. And it's with an A, people; not an E. Let's be respectful. I especially like strawberry marshmallows. Peeps are disgusting.

I think it's kind of funny how we went from being the "nicest" board to the board that everyone apparently remembers as mean and snarky. I was here from the beginning; the only snark I saw was for MUD, AEs, or people who you just wanted to pinch in the arm fat for being dumb. I don't really care about how the board is now; I lurk a lot but don't post as much because I think it's weird that so many people joined after their kids were born.

And I will miss BLT!! Except we are going to run away together soooooo I guess I'm good.

I agree with you. I'm not sure exactly who the ones are who joined post pregnancy, but I know what you mean. Also, I want to adopt your child, and make him my squish.
  • N will be up in an hour to eat and I'm about 2 hours past my bed time, but I seriously don't want to sleep. I'm too entertained. That gingy gif from flerlgirl... I laughed so hard!

I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.

  • @flerlgirl well it'll probably involve us trading a child. You can have dd since I don't like her attitude recently.
  • I may or may not need a straight jacket.

    Anniversary

  • I've been on the boards since 5 weeks/bfp and to be fair, I was teetering between may 13 and June 13 since my edd was June 3 (I was sure my baby would come at the end of May... And she did, may 24) Anyway some of the snark I remember may have actually been from may 13- I know for sure some of it was! And I gave up on that board at some point, sticking with June, because everyone said June was a "nice board" and it was sure nicer than May!! There was just a few who I felt picked on people with innocent questions for no reason... Anyway, I don't hate the old regulars (honestly besides a few, I don't even remember who they were because I only lurked and didn't pay much attention to names) but like I said, I like the overall feeling of the board now. And the older regs who still post, I like!!

I'm a big fan of yours @flerlgirl but I have to say this rubbed me the wrong way. I used to go to other local message boards while I was pregnant (lifamilies.com) because I could get opinions on doctors, hospitals, etc near me. Now I am home with more time on my hands and starting lurking TB over the summer. I decided I really liked the group (you included) and wanted to get involved. I can't fathom why this is "weird." Maybe it was just the choice of words that rubbed me.
@violett1183 hmmm, maybe I didn't explain myself very well. It isn't weird like the old man down the street who talks to his own elbow and has a pet giraffe. It's weird in the sense that it is something I did not expect, and therefore am taking time to get used to. I was surprised that so many people wanted to jump in after the fact. But of course you're welcome here. I don't have a problem with anyone. I just meant the dynamic changed in a way I would not have predicted. Make sense?

I don't use lotion on Joseph...I kept on forgetting and then I just said screw it basically. His skin is still extremely soft though.

Also I still can't figure out what FFFC stands for....

My pedi actually said it's better not to use lotion on babies because most really don't need it. She said the main purpose at this age is for baby massage.
  • I can only speak for myself, but I started posting after baby b/c I worked full-time and I don't have a job that allows me to be on TB.  I've been on maternity leave now so I'm able to post while sitting with a sleeping baby. I still don't post much and consider myself a newbie, but I have found everyone to be funny, sweet, and supportive.  I really like @CarloynL8 since offering me a Keurig code and giving advice to me awhile back.  I also remember reading she is from SI and I know not to mess with a SI girl!!
