Blown away by baby gift!

My mom has been planning to buy my crib skirt so while she was visiting we picked one out together on the Restoration Hardware Baby site. It was $70 which is a bit high for just the skirt but I justified it since I'm not buying whole bedding set. While we were looking at the website we both swooned over some of the pretty baby room photos and both liked a light fixture in one of the photos.

I just got a package on my doorstep from RH. I knew it was probably the crib skirt, and I opened it up and pulled out the packing slip. She ordered the crib skirt AND the $300 light fixture as well! I am SHOCKED. I immediately said "oh shit", dropped the paper, and began to ball my eyes out. I'm still crying about it over here. Ugh I'm such a mess.

I'm so touched that she would get something so extravagant on her limited income. I worry way too much about money these days and feel like I don't deserve this gift especially since baby doesn't need a designer chandelier. Yes that's exactly what she said when I called her. That she didn't want to just get something practical, but something that she knew I would really really love.

I agree. I calmed down about the price a bit after telling myself that it will look beautiful is a little girls room, and teen's room, and even one day in her house. Its certainly not just a baby item.
