40 Days of thankfulness day 14

Morning Girls! Getting off to a late start here. We had a long night, and woke up late this morning so I am rushed this morning! I hope everyone had a good night last night. We did! :)

Gratitude or the art of being thankful should be part of our daily lives, not just something that is reserved for special occasions. When we have gratitude for everything in our lives on a daily basis, our mindset changes, our attitude changes, we become focused on the things that matter most but most of all, we open ourselves up for better things.

What are you thankful for today?

Re: 40 Days of thankfulness day 14

  • I am thankful that I live in a country that has modern medicine. Owen is having his 4 month checkup today and getting his Vaccines done. Even though it breaks my heart to have him go through these vaccinations, I know it's for his own good, and your own good. I couldn't imagine living in a different country who doesn't have modern medicine, or where it's too costly for most and watch my child suffer with a deadly outbreak- and nothing I could do about it.

    I am thankful for vaccines!

  • I am thankful for smartphone as it keeps me company during the MOTN feedings when I am struggling to stay awake.
  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • I am thankful for my awesome neighbors.  We didn't end up taking M ToTing because it was raining here and there, but our neighbors, who have a 19 month old boy, came over so he could knock on our door.  Then the dad ran home so M could knock on their door.  We ended up hanging out for about an hour and we had such a good time.

  • I'm thankful for my easy going baby. He had such a big day meeting a bunch of kids and teachers at my school, hanging out with family, and tagging along for trick-or-treating. All while wearing a costume!! He's such a good sport!

  • @achae I hate No Shave Nov and mustache March and May. I refused to kiss my husband during those months and it usually results in him shaving after only a couple weeks. Only once did he go the whole month lol

Today I am thankful the my FIL and his wife are coming to town. He is such an awesome guy and he loves his grand kids so much, makes me feel all fuzzy inside :)

  • I am thankful for my grocery getter. I used to be one of those "I will never drive a mini-van" people. But, I'm a convert. My van is awesomesauce.
  • @tiffletons518 I am jealous of your mini van.  That WILL be my next vehicle!

  • @LiLi23 It is pretty fantastic. I was always anti-minivan and my H spent years trying to convince me they were actually pretty cool. When we found out we were having baby #3 I knew it was happening. I still wasn't totally convinced. After a week, I won't ever go back. Lol.
  • @tiffletons518 So funny because I'm the one trying to convince DH!  I turned in my CR-V and contemplated a mini-van, but DH was all, 'no way in hell I'm driving a mini van'.  So we ended up with a Mountaineer.  He wants a third kid.  I said I get a mini van, then we can have a third kid ;)

It's gotta be so much easier getting in and out of with all the kids, right??

  • @LiLi23 Yes!! Oh my goodness. We bought ours used, it's a Mercury Monterey. But, it's pretty loaded. I have heated seats up front, a remote start, power doors. Taking my oldest to school in the morning, its already warm, and I'm opening the doors for the older 2 to get in while I'm still trying to close the door with the car seat. Lol. It's surprisingly unimpressive on gas, but we were already used to a v8 SUV. So, that wasn't a huge deal.
  • @tiffletons518 Now I'm jealous all over again! Lol The doors alone are worth it for me. I always have my hands full. Thankfully I don't think I'll have to try so hard to convince him since he's pretty adamant about #3. I have high hopes! ;)

  • I'm thankful for my parents. A week after MJ was born they move a mile away from us (they used to be 50 miles) They are so great and we see them 3 or 4 times a week now. It's the way I always wanted things to be and I just still can't believe how lucky I am that they moved so close to us!
  • Today I am thankful for this online community. I may not be close with anyone but I know that I can come here to ask a question or vent. I have never felt unwelcome here at all.
