  I did for IVF #2.  I took to ubiquinol form.  I don't know if it helped, but we went from 6R 5M 3F 0 made it to transfer for IVF #1 to 8R 7M 5F and transferred one blast for IVF #2.  We also increased my follistim and added Ganirelix instead of lupron around CD 1 ( I still used lupron for down regulation).

  DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA  Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA

  October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

  November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

  January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

  April 2015: FET #2.1

  The one side effect I had when I first started was constipation.  It did get better over time.

  I added it in for IVF #2 and FET #2.2 My protocol for my second fresh cycle didn't change all that much but I did have more mature and retrieved, about the same fert rate and a better thaw rate so far (see siggy).
  
  I can't say taking it is what did it for us, but it doesn't seem to hurt us at all. I didn't have any s/e that I noticed.

  I have been told that it could cause insomnia a bit like caffeine if taken too late in the day....But what I am really worried about is that all of the info I have found on line says that it needs to be taken 3 months in advance to have much of an effect & this is our last cycle with med's starting in about 10 days........so this supplement could be a little bit of a waste.

  My husband took them as part of an attempt to improve his sperm analysis....now, it was one of a few things he was taking but the supplements did help! I think it has something to do with overall cell function in your body

  I did the CoQ10 & DHEA regimen with my last cycle.  I dont think I'll ever know exactly what caused it...I think the total cocktail of meds....but I had MAJOR insomnia.  My brain would just not shut up so I could sleep.  It was awful.  

  
  

  I didnt end up with more eggs, and I had nothing to freeze, but I did get my BFP out of that cycle.

  I started the CoQ10 & DHEA 14 days before CD 1.  There is no clear literature that suggests that 3 months is the magic number.  My husband is a neuro-physiologist and spent a great deal of time investigating the "cocktail".  The evidence both for/against it is inconclusive but there have not been detrimental side affects.   

  
  

  I'll never know if it was contributing factor to the success of that cycle or not...

  I am currently on both dhea and cq10 for ivf # 2 in January. I can agree with the horrible insomnia but if I take my last dose (3x day) before 5:30pm I'm able to sleep at night. I have poa so hoping this helps us with more/better eggs.

  Thank you, everyone.  We are going to try CoQ10at 200 twice daily in the Ubiquinol form.  I hope it helps, but even if the cycle is a success I am not sure if we will ever know what really helps...
