Good Morning 6+ers!

It's that time again...Ok, it was actually "that time" last Friday but since I was on vacation, it's a little late this time. This is our bi-weekly check in, condensed version. Feel free to let us know how life is; you can b!tch, you can moan, you can brag, you can cry, whatever you want. Enjoy!

Because my day is going so well (can you sense my sarcasm?, this is my glass...hold the cheese. You ladies are on your own!

My update: vacation was awesome. We meet with our surrogate match next Sunday. I can't wait! That's really about it. Have a great weekend ladies!

Congratulations for being matched, @sammer818! I'm so excited for you!

My update is that I got yet another BFN at 10dpiui this morning. I know it is still early, but I have very little hope. This makes the third failed IUI cycle and this one I had 6 mature follicles. If this cycle is really a bust, I don't know where we go from here. Both my fiance and I are totally worn down emotionally and physically and we've discussed simply stopping treatment. I know my RE will suggest IVF next and I just don't know if we want to go down that road. We may continue to try on our own (although the likelihood of that working is highly unlikely given all factors) or we may just give up entirely. We may also go against my RE's advice and take a break (he said that "taking a break is the worst thing you can do given your DOR"), but if it is taking a break versus totally giving up, that changes things a bit. The catch is that I have no idea how many possible cycles I even have left. Ugh. Infertility sucks.

@sammer818 - Squeeeeee!! That is so exciting! Good luck good luck good luck! And I'm glad to hear vacation was awesome!

@msamandapants - I'm so sorry about the BFN. I agree, it's not over yet, but I know it still sucks. ((hugs)) It sounds like you may have some tough decisions to make. I hope you and your DH can come to a decision you're both comfortable with.

My update:
Currently 8dpo in my first TTC cycle since my last loss. Trying not to let the crazy consume me, lol. I am totally swamped and overwhelmed with school work. But right now all I have left is 2 huge finals and one written assignment. I leave for the US in 10 days! So I'm just a ball of stress right now, but once my exams are over (they're on Monday and Thursday), things will be a lot better.

@sammer818 - FX the meeting with your surrogate goes perfectly. Glad you enjoyed your vacation.

@msamandapants - Infertility does suck. I'm so sorry Luv, wish things were easier for you. That said, you aren't out yet. FX you get your BFP in the next few days :-)

@RedTwizzlers- Good luck on your exams! Hope the stress dies down soon and you get your BFP in the next few days (that's at least good stress).

@jalara48 - I'm surprised to see an MLA is taking the time to meet with you... that's great! Hopefully she is able to offer something in the way of hope or future support. ((Hugs)) for all you've been through lately.

I've been taking a pseudo bump break this cycle because I'm finding my heart just isn't TTC like it was before. I think I was devoting way too much attention to it, and I burnt myself out. It's been over 10 months since I joined the board, and members that I got to know when I joined, now have babies. I'm happy for them, but having a rough time with it, since it magnifies the amount of time waiting for our rainbow. I'm not giving up by any means, but I'm trying to be ok with life as it is, just in case. That said, I'm 7dpo and DH was home during my fertile week (yay!) so we actually had good timing for once. FX the stars align for us and we get our rainbow soon.

@hellosweetie1 - I know how you feel, I have been on TTCAL for over a year and a half, so there are a ton of people who I knew well who already have their rainbows. I'm so happy for them, but it's really hard. ((hugs))

Not much to report on here, just waiting for our rescheduled appointment with the OB on Nov 8. My current cycle is really quite ridiculous and so confusing, of course just when I want to have some clear recent charts to show the OB I get all kinds of wonky instead. I just really can't wait to see the OB and hopefully get some plan, interpretation of my tests from last May, explanation for all this damn spotting, basically anything to make me feel like we're moving forward in some way.

@gscoville I hope your uterus starts behaving so you can have a nice chart to show your OB! Sorry you have had to wait so long to discuss your results.

As for me...DH and I are getting along better. However, for several months I have noticed that he rarely wants to have sex and I would have to practically beg him for it during my FW. I tried talking to him about it several times, thinking that he was no longer attracted to me or just bored with me. He just kept telling me nothing was wrong, that it wasn't me, or he didn't know. So I eventually gave up. So the quality of our sex started going downhill too because it just seemed like he was just doing it to get it over with. Yesterday he told me that he was thinking about something, and he realized it was a problem. He said he has absolutely no desire for sex. This is really concerning to me, because my husband rarely "thinks" about things unless he really feels it is a problem. we just had sex two days in a row but it was nothing to brag about and now I see why.

He keeps asking me why I think this is, I told him IDK, but suggested his testosterone could be low. So now he wants to get that tested. I am glad that he finally recognized this problem b/c I've been suffering for it! I didn't tell him that his lack of desire had rubbed off on me...but after being rejected so many times I just gave up and now I pretty much don't have much desire either except for babymaking.

This stupid SA is taking FOREVER!! I called this fertility clinic 3x, 3 different days and never got one person. I left 2 messages, and no one ever called me back. So I said forget it, I'll go to a different one. Called a different one today and had to leave a message. What the hell? Do real people even work at these fertility clinics? That's all I've got for now!

@amores0121 - Sounds like you and DH had a good talk, that's great. Just a thought - testosterone is a possibility, but it could also be a ton of other physical things like depression, thyroid issues, etc. I would recommend him talking to his GP and explaining the problem. Hopefully they can run a bunch of tests. Sorry to hear the SA is taking so long, that sucks

I'm headed to MN for 3 months! I've actually never been there, so it'll be exciting! (I'm from the northeast)

@RedTwizzlers MN! I hope you like snow!! I will have him make an appointment with his GP. I don't think it's depression. He doesn't get depressed often and when he does its very obvious to me. Thanks for the suggestions.

As for me, I don't have any new updates in the TTCAL department. Job related, I'm getting closer! All of the people I put down in the paperwork have been contacted with questionnaires about me (required for the background check) so as soon as everyone sends them back we can proceed with the next step. I'm getting anxious!

@EKGibs Yes, it was done on Friday! Now anxiously awaiting the results. I just called the lab and they said my OB will contact me with the results. So now I'm going to call the OB this afternoon and bug them. My guess is they haven't got them yet. They said 3-5 business days. Seems like a long time to look at some sperm! I'm worried about the results as it was 5 days of abstaining, but they said no less than 2, no more than 5....FX that your wait goes by quickly!

Update: I PASSED ALL MY FINALS!!! WOOOHOOOO! I don't know how I did yet, just that I passed. Everything is pass/fail so that's good enough for me. I'm in the US now with my family, having a great time.

@ekgibs - I was so confused by your post because I'm not getting an ultrasound. I was like, why would I post about an ultrasound? So I went back to my post and realized that I had typed US, as in the United States, because I am home in the states now. I guess you saw that and thought US= ultrasound. HAHA!
