the search function sucks so I don't know if same person does this but, whatever!

1. I think maternity photos are cheesy.

2. By 6:15am I had already eaten 3 pieces of candy.

3. I was eating gummy bears yesterday and DS saw, I didn't want to share so I told him they were my medicine...and he believed it! FWIW even though he is 3 we just don't have candy round the house so he really doesn't recognize a lot of it (except skittles and M&Ms).

I will go without a shower for a day just because I don't want to get up and will lay here til I have just enough time to roll out of bed and put clothes on.

ETA: I'm doing it right now.

DS just got up and asked for his candy...I said "we don't eat candy for breakfast". I'm a hypocrite mom.

My DH had shoulder surgery yesterday and instead of having a nerve block performed, he elected to go home with just meds. I've been up every three hours since midnight because he's in extreme pain. Should have got the damn nerve block!!!!!

I brought Halloween candy in for my students yesterday and I was really relieved that they didn't eat it all because I wanted to eat fun sized Snickers bars on my way home...and I did.

My best friends wedding is finally next weekend, and in all honesty, I just want it to be over. I love her to pieces and I'm so happy for her, but the thought of putting on my bridesmaids dress and heels and being at the reception until 1 AM makes me irritated. I'm not excited to stumble around in high heels and I'm not excited to hang out with a drunk bridal party all day. I feel like such a grouch even thinking these things, but I can't help it. Being pregnant has made me a huge homebody!

I still haven't announced my pregnancy to friends or at work. My mom and dad and MIL/FIL know and one other resident. That's it. I have to wear real clothes (not scrubs) to a work function and am having major anxiety about having to make the big reveal.

I'm starting to feel really bad about the fact that my bff doesn't even know. With all the unexplained bleeding I have been having, it's like I irrationally think I'm going to jinx the pregnancy by talking about it. Hopefully I can relax after the a/s.

I took DS to daycare even though I have the day off. I told DH I need to clean and can't do that with a toddler following behind me undoing everything I just did. In reality I'm going to spend most of the day watching TV and cleaning just enough to make it look like I worked really hard.

I don't want to deal with Christmas for another month, and at least until Black Friday. I think it loses it's meaning when it is a two month long "holiday."

I may start decorating for Christmas in the next few weeks $:\$ ">

My rationale is that I feel great now and can maneuver pretty well despite measuring at 33 weeks. If I put up the fall/Thanksgiving decor I might not have the energy to take it down and put up all the Christmas stuff.

We have to entertain a few times over the Holidays so we need to have the house decorated and I can't imagine not having Christmas decor out anyways.

Also, I may leave the Christmas decor up until either DH gets sick of it and takes it down or my mom comes for the babies birth in Feb.

I bought 3 big bags of Halloween candy knowing full well that it was going to be rainy and yucky yesterday, just so that I could have all that extra candy. I am pretty sure DH was on to me though.

I'm just like you and it's tough for me to be interested in playing with toddlers. I promise that it is different when it's your own child. I remember rolling my eyes when people would say that, but it's mostly very true. I never feel like I'm babysitting with my son (which before I had him I was nervous I would feel that way) or that I have to play for long hours. I do a nice balance of playing with him and teaching him to play independently.

Constant updates on the sweets you're not eating (even though you "cheat" every time - or make it sound like you will/are) drives me nuts. Either make it a part of your diet and live with it. Or don't.

My husband's dog is driving me nuts. She follows and stares at me constantly. Whenever he's not home I go somewhere that she can't follow and close the door to get away from her.

Also, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to stop wearing my wedding rings soon.

B did NOT want to put on his costume yesterday, but I really wanted him to wear it and go show my mom how cute he was. So I totally bribed him with chocolate! It worked like a charm and he didn't take it off again for the next 2 hours! And he only got 1 small Areo bar.

As a peds nurse I thought this too. I worked night shift so not a lot ofplaying. But it is SO much easier when they are your own. And sick kids have nothing on healthy kids. Half the time my 2 and 3 yo are playing so hard they don't care if I'm there or not. Age 2 kind of sucks but my 3 yo is a delight to be with. Like I said, so much better when they are yours.

I haven't left.the house all week except to go to the dentist. My poor kids have been constrained to the house and back yard. In my defense DH's car is broken so he has been taking mine all week. Im just to lazy to drive him to work so I can have the car during the day.

It frustrates me that more people research on their electronics/buying cars/what to put on the registry then they do for labor/birth. I also think that birth is just like a marathon you need to train for it, mentally and physically no matter what type of birth you are reaching for. The go-with-the-flow thinking really scares me and I often worry about those thinking type people.

I guess my confession is that I don't understand what the big deal is about how you deliver. Apparently it's really important to some people, but as long as my baby comes out and is healthy, I honestly couldn't care less how it happened. I think I'm in the minority.

ETA: That was probably more of an UO. I guess my FFFC would be that I've eaten about 10 pieces of candy for breakfast, but I thought that would be pretty standard the day after Halloween.

I love Halloween. But I am so glad it is over because for the last 48 hours all I see on my news feed is peoples kids in Halloween costumes. Its been annoying. Why do you need to post a million pictures of your kid in a terrible costume?

Also, I even confessed to my husband last night that I might be a bad mother because taking my kid trick or treating doesn't even sound fun.. hopefully that will change

I just posted this on the latest MIL vent post and thought I was posting here, oh well.

I have not participated in HDBD, at all. Every damn weds. I go into the bathroom at work, take a bump pic and then decide I don't look pg in it and just look fat and don't post it. These are also the only "bump pics" I have taken of myself, or had taken, at all. My boobs are so huge that they still stick out beyond my "bump", hence the not looking pg, just looking fat. Le sigh....

Same here. I love babies and have a feeling that between 2 and 4 years I'm going to be the mom who is always bringing her kid to the children's museum/mall/etc to play with other kids when LO isn't at daycare.

I'm one of those people. So far it's worked for me. I don't know if it is because when I had my older kids I lived in Canada so I never once was pushed to have an Epi or if it was the totaly different attitude of the Doctors and Nurses there. But I managed 5 Natural Births, 4 of them in Canada 1 here in Arkansas and this one is all goes as planned.

My moms a huge Christmas fan so am I but she has sooooo much stuff it takes forever to put up . SOOO we will start decorating tomorrow !!! I cant wait to put mine up but DH has a law I cant start until thanksgiving day !!!

I'm taking the MPRE tomorrow morning (which I have to pass to sit for the bar exam in July). I just started studying this morning, and after three hours in the library all I want to do is leave and go start my Christmas shopping.

I agree w/ @katykatykaty I just don't get why it matters to anyone else at all how someone else delivers THEIR baby, or how much they researched it? Also, I feel like there's no point in researching it anyhow, its happening whether you "study up" or not. Purchasing things, like cars or electronics are choices, and furthermore they are going to last you a lot longer than giving birth. So why wouldn't you research that more than some that's happening whether you want it to or not? Or care how anyone else is doing it? I don't care how you give birth or what you did to prepare, or that it is even happening, cause yeah, I don't know you and it's none of my beeswax!

My in-laws have been talking about moving back to NC where DH and I live. They live in FL currently. We talked to them a couple weeks ago and said they were unsure of their decision to to back to NC or stay in FL. My MIL called last night and said we will see you guys tomorrow night we are on the way with the moving truck. I don't know if im excited about this or not, my MIL is a little different .

Whoa. Are we the same person? I have an irrational hate for these people. I have screamed out the window "SIDEWALKS!!" on more than one occasion. It's is one of my biggest pet peeves. Especially when there is a group of them riding NEXT to each other. I have fantasized about picking them off by shoving them off the street with my car. No joke.

This. I've started showering every other day because laying in bed is much more important to me than blow drying my hair.
