I was walking to the bathroom and suddenly felt like I had peed myself. Then it just kept leaking. This happened exactly the same with both pregnancies!

I got up after finishing dinner and immediately felt like I had peed myself. Went to the bathroom and realized it probably wasn't "just" pee. I proceeded to try to go change my underwear and pants and realized I was consistently leaking...and then realized it was my water breaking!

We had just gone to bed when I felt — and we both heard — a pop. It took me a minute to realize what was happening. Then I stood up and the gushing began.

I was just admitted because of my 2-5 minute apart contractions. Once I got my epidural I felt a gush, that went everywhere! It was gross to say the least.

I was actually peeing when mine broke! I was finished going and all if a sudden there was a gush that I knew wasn't something I intentionally did haha. Then I stood us and it kept gushing so I knew my water had broken.

I had a small leak and I didn't realize it was broken. I just thought it was discharge. I'm still not totally convinced it wasn't. Once the midwife broke it for real, there was no mistaking it. There was tons of fluid. Way more than pee, and no sensation like I was peeing. Just lots of wet.

This is exactly what happened to me. I didn't even know that my water was broken but it started leaking when I or to the hospital. The night before I had a little leakage but I couldn't tell if I just peed myself or if it wAs my water so I went to bed and there was no leakig after that. I would strongly suggest that of you think your water is broken go to the hospital fairly quickly. Because my water had been broken for so long (16 hours when I finally went to the hosptial bc of contractions) I had some complications during labor. I ran high fevers and baby was born with low blood sugar and had to stay in the nicu for several days!

I was sleeping off a (very rare for me) migraine. So I was in bed at 8pm and DH was beside me online gaming. I felt a small gush and woke up, told him my water broke and slowly got out of bed to stand over some old towels I'd put on the floor for just that occasion. I had only wet my PJs so thankfully didn't need to change the sheets, but when I stood up the fast trickle continued. I wrapped the old towels around me like a diaper and made it to the bathroom.

I was induced and my dr broke mine in the hospital, I had already had an epidural so I didn't feel anything,
apparently I had a ton of fluid, but don't know at all what it felt like.

My doctor broke mine after I had an epidural, so I didn't feel anything other than a warm fluid. I was not induced... My water had just not broken yet.

With DD - broke in hospital on its own while I was in hospital bed- HOLY COW that was a lot of fluid

With DS- - Dr broke it for me, it came out much slower but for about an hour.

Both experiences it was obvious. LOL

I'm a teacher and it was open house night. I was talking to parents when I felt warm wet rush down my legs. I thought it was pee but it didn't stop, so I drive myself 45 minutes to the hospital and met my husband there. DD was born 4 hours later.

I was laying on the couch watching tv. My stomach was making rumbly noises (kind of like gas). I sat up and felt a small trickle, which quickly grew to a large one. I stood up and ran to the bathroom, shouting to my husband "my water broke!" By the time I got to the bathroom, it was gushing out. I changed my pants and grabbed a towel, got all of our stuff in a hurry, and went out the door. It continued slowly leaking out the whole way to the hospital and during my labor until my c-section. I have twins, and came to find out only DS's water had broken. They had to break DD's before they took her out.

With both my babies my MW broke it right before crowning. It stayed intact even with an hour of pushing with my first. My MIL says as I would push it looked like a huge balloon and my MW and nurse's eyes kept getting bigger and bigger as they held up towels waiting for a huge explosion, but it never broke. I don't remember feeling anything either time, perhaps it was because too much was going on at that point, or maybe most of the fluid was behind the baby. Because I do remember a huge gush after DS was born.

I was sitting on the couch watching "Shark week" on the discovery channel...so the water felt rather appropriate. I wasn't 100% sure that I wasn't peeing myself because it wasn't a huge gush, but after a few minutes I figured it out.

The first time I just woke up around 10:30 in the morning to a pop. Nothing came out really, but when I got to the hospital they told me it broke. With DS2 I woke up in the middle of the night to pee and when I layed back down I felt a pop and stood up with a small gush of liquid. After that, nothing leaked out but I now know its because LO's head was so low it blocked the fluid.

12am My contractions were intense... 440AM I was in bed, lying on my side and I thought I peed on myself but It wouldnt stop so I jolted out of bed b/c I was renting a room from someone and it wasnt my mattress. I knew my water broke and I was hoping it didnt get into the mattress. So as I was having a very strong contraction I was pulling the sheets off and didnt know what to do next... Then I called my doc, and my doula (who nvr woke up). I called my little brother and he picked me up. We got to the hospital at 6AM and I was ready to push but there was no doctor around.... She was born 720AM... Everything about my delivery was completely different then I ever thought.. Nothing I planned like doula etc worked out But my munchkin is so beautiful and perfect. Life is interesting...

I just woke from a nap and felt a gush. Thought I peed myself. Changed pad laid down for 20 mins stood up and gushed again. Then I knew it was my water.

DH and I were walking up a driveway to check out an estate sale. I was half way up the drive when I felt a warm heavy trickle. I told DH I thought my water had broken but then it stopped so I thought maybe I peed (lol). We drove home and then there was a 2nd heavier gush and I knew for sure it was my water. We went to L & D and I had the biggest gush on the waiting room floor. Embarrassing!

I was in triage at the hospital and the nurse had just told me that when the doctor got there she would probably send me home because I wasn't dialated enough. I stood up to go to the bathroom and felt a gush. I told the nurse that I either peed myslef or my water broke. Sure enough it was my water and I got to stay!

Mine began to leak two days before LO was born. I thought it was discharge from my cervical check that day. But once I saw I had leaked through everything and onto my car seat I knew something was up. I got pitocin in me and it kept slowly leaking throughout labor.

Mine broke in the hospital during labor. I had just been on one of the labor/workout balls and was climbing into bed to get checked when it just all came gushing out! GROSS!

With DS1 it broke in the middle of the night. I woke up due to a contraction and when I rolled over I felt a little gush of water.

With DS2 we had just gone to bed when I felt/heard the pop and as soon as I moved it gushed. There was no mistaking it for anything else.

With DD1, it broke when I was at work. I just felt warm liquid running down my leg and it wouldn't stop. Most of it came out pretty quickly, but I was still leaking an hour and a half later when I got to the hospital.

With DD2, it broke right before the doctor let me start pushing. She was actually going to break it for me, but as she was going for it, it just broke on its own.

I was at work! It was my last day before going on Maternity Leave and I was just standing there talking to a co-worker and I felt a trickle and it just kept coming and coming. I went to the bathroom to see what the deal was and I realized what it was. Luckily I had leggings on under my dress so no one could see it or anything.

My midwife had to break my water. We thought it had broken on it's own a little earlier in my labor because it smelled like amniotic fluid but when the midwife checked at about 8cm, she said it was still intact so she broke it. Since she broke it, it was a definite warm gush. Think of a small flood Lol
