Least favorite Hallowe'en treat

Let's talk about the candy duds people get this time of year. Mary Janes, Peanut Blossoms, Candy Corn. I know some people love these, I never really did. Any other candy you find "horrifying" at Hallowe'en?

I generally don't discriminate towards candy, but yes, Good N Plenty make me want to puke. Anything black licorice is my nemesis.

Anything that comes in that "Childs Play" pack, the one with the tootsie rolls, smarties, etc. My favorites of course are the reeses, kit kats, and all the good chocolatey stuff! When I lived in Hawaii one of my favorite houses passed out cold soda and water, what a nice treat on Halloween after trick--or-treating for a while!

You know what used to piss me off as a kid? Neighbours who would give out cans of pop at Hallowe'en. I mean, c'mon. At first it kinda seems like a fun treat, but once you've got three or four of those things rolling around in your trick or treat bag, it weighs a ton (when you're 6 years old) and just slows you down. Plus it takes up valuable candy real estate in there! My mom always ended up confiscating them anyways.

Other grossies: those individually wrapped hard strawberry candies (waste of time), little suckers (also a waste of time), and I've always thought that Smarties are just dead boring. Here you go, Dad.

Just for clarification, Smarties in Canada are the same as Smarties in the US, right? Little hard candies in tubes? I like those, I do not like England's Smarties. But I prefer Sweet Tarts, and will take any of those people hate.

Whoppers, tootsie rolls, mary jane and bit o honey, AMAZING! Give them all to me and those black and orange wrapped candies are if I am not mistaken peanut butter taffy, send those my way too.

But seriously tootsie rolls are my favorite. I dig them all out of the candy bags and gobble them up!

@notreal2 my father in law always brings smarties from Canada for my husband and they are not the same! Just like potatoe chips might be the same brand and flavor but the stuff from Canada is more rich!! Love when my father in law brings stuff for us from canada! As far as candies I don't like candy corn, black licorice!!

Hmm, like @golfergirl08, I don't discriminate too much when it comes to candy! I don't like any candies in plain wrappers that don't seem to have a name (like some of you have mentioned, the ones is the orange and brown or black wrappers, the strawberry ones...) pretty much any hard candy. Oh, and anything with coconut!

I do love tootsie rolls and smarties! And of course, anything chocolate! Chocolate and peanuts/peanut butter...even better!

When I was 9, we moved to a condo they literally had no kids except me. I tried to trick or treat and someone have me a cough drop.

Tootsie rolls are my fav and I'm shocked that so many people dislike them. I think the absolute worst are mary janes! It's not candy but it was always a major bummer when you'd get pennies- wish you could just say "no thanks" lol. Or when the people were being grumpy about it, nobody says you have to have your porch light on!

Im absurdly candy picky. no to black licorice anything, tootsie anything, candy corn and not a big fan of smarties, sweet tarts, ect. because of allergy reasons, I can't do mounds or almond joy. I also don't like whole peanuts or carmel, so my sister always got my snickers, payday. baby ruth. ect. basically, twizzlers, m&ms, peanut butter cups, 3 musketeers, and my fave... Kit Kats. That's about it.

So MH's firm has some folks come over from Belgium every year to help work on a multi-national software company audit. They have a candy drawer at the client, and the Belgian visitors always bring tons of Belgian chocolate and other treats to help stock the drawer, and the American team picks out candy they can't get over there for them. The favorites of the Belgian team are always skittles and circus peanuts. They bring gourmet chocolates and want CIRCUS PEANUTS in return. Does not compute!

I hate anything with black licorice, caramel, and/or coconut. I also don't really like chocolate but apparently this baby does! I've eaten a million snickers in the past few days
