Question: Getting hit in the gut??

When should I be concerned.  My rational mind is telling me that the baby is well protected but I thought I would ask to double check.

I was jumping into bed quickly last night because it was so cold in our bedroom.  DHs knee went right into my uterus with a sharp jab.  It kind of took my breath away and scared us both.  I didn't have cramping or spotting or anything so I'm assuming all is fine.  Can y'all ease my mind or tell me if I should go to the doctor.  Thanks girls!

Poor DH didn't sleep all night because he was worried about it.

  • I would suspect that your uterus and baby are still wayyyyyy down by your pubic bone, so there was that extra "shield" there.

when I found the HB with my doppler around 14 weeks (?) it was still wayyyy down there.

  • You're right Davezwife, it's still really low.  My uterus is just peeking over my pelvic bone and that's right where his knee jabbed me.
  • The baby is very cushioned in there...I wouldn't be worried unless you started to bleed or spot.
