Clomid + night Sweats + misery. This ain't my 1st rodeo but I'm weirded out.

Hi All.  I'm somewhat of a creepy lurker here.  I posted regularly on this board when TTC #1 and was successful with Clomid + IUI.  We are attempting the same process this month TTC#2.  However, my reaction to Clomid this time around is significantly different.  My belly feels distended, the hot flashes are nearly unbearable and a wee bit mortifying (playdate in 42* and rain yesterday at a park I was sweating profusely), the night sweats are just miserable and I just feel "off".  I don't remember any of these symptoms last time.  I think I had one or two hot flashes prior.

I believe this is my 3rd round of Clomid overall. 

Is this normal?  If you've been on more than one cycle of Clomid, did the symptoms increase?

Delivered via C-section @ 36 weeks on 11/9/11.

TTC#2 for a few months naturally (ha!)
~IUI#1, Clomid, Trigger,  10/13 - BFN
~IUI#2, Femera, Ovidrel, 11/13

    Medicated cycles and their symptoms can greatly differ each time..... Clomid gave me the symptoms you mentioned and made my a crazy beyotch ;)  I prefer the injections over CLomid anytime.  Good luck!

    Me DX: Hashimotos,Hypothyroid, DOR, MTHFR,  DH: normal

     IUI #1-#4 BFNs and a few cancelled cycles in the mix.
    - poor responder
    ***Suprise BFP on 6/13/13. Natural MC @6wks 3days
    IVF#1 and 2- Cancelled due to no response on max stimms
    FET 5/20- BFP
    1st Beta- 641
    2nd beta- 2166
    Sono- TWINS!!!!
    Two Boys! Born January 2015 @36 weeks.  Healthy and no NICU!  So blessed!

    I never had many symptoms on Clomid. But a good friend had everything you are describing while doing IUI. You aren't abnormal, that's for sure!

    Lurking here too but wanted to chime in and say hi. Also, clomid was THE DEVIL for me and everything you are saying I had a few years ago. I won't ever touch the stuff again. Wishing you good luck for #2:-)

    TTC #1 since 8/1/10; Me:41 and BRCA1+, DH:46
    DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
    5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
    OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN
    DE IVF#1 11/12 bad embryos= BFN
    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
    DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

    DE FET#1 ET 3/1714; BFP, beta 1 3/27= 197, beta 2 3/31= 1586, beta 3 4/7= 13879!!

    Hi McIrish!!  Yes, we are attempting #2 and have been "going natural" (lolololololol...as if that works) for a few months.

    Spoke with the RE about my symptoms and we will be doing Femera and something else I can't remember the name of next time.  She didn't like the way my follies looked anyway.  One was "sort of ok" and I had about 6 that were "not quite" but "you never know".  Less than awesome. We'll see.  Of course there is a always a chance but I'm not too hopeful.

    I think everyone is different. I did a number of Clomid cycles and I didn't have that. I did with other meds though.
    Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

    BFN this cycle.  We'll start new drugs in the next few days.  Now I'm planning my wine for dinner...I mean with *WITH* dinner.

    Clomid made me a lunatic! I would laugh and cry within 5 seconds, horrible night sweats and insomnia. I hope it works for you and hang in there!!!
