I couldn't tell you the last time I painted my fingernails. My toenails are a gorgeous cranberry sparkle color thanks to the pedicure I treated myself to on Sunday while DH was off bird hunting .

Mine are naked...haven't painted my nails in months.

I can't decide what color to paint my nails, so they haven't been painted in at least 2 weeks. I try to keep some color on them, since that's the only way I've found to keep me from picking at them. I haven't done French tips in a while, either, so I may do that...
And yes, I do my own acrylics. I find it (mostly) relaxing. I've only done acrylics once or twice with this pregnancy so far, but my OB says it's ok.
I just have a clear coat on them right now. I am a nail biter and I pick at my cuticles. But I've been able to curb my nail biting by keeping my fingernails painted.
I am going to be painting them this color tonight. I need to buy some new nail polish. I cleaned out my stash and I'm not really in the mood for any of the colors I have right now.
My fingers and toes have no polish. I always heard to not have polish on when in the hospital since the nurses can tell if you are having a reaction to something based on your nail bed color. I asked the L &D nurse this when we had our hospital tour and she just laughed. She said now days they can get around the nail test. So I guess I will get a pedicure before delivery!
Mine have been clear since my BFP. I am trying to do the natural look because I used to be obsessed with painting my nails and I don't think I will have time when LO comes...so I am weaning myself off.
I do have a tip for those that don't paint their nails: The Body Shop carries this nail buffer block that literally makes your nails look they you just stepped out from the nail salon. It has 4 sides and I use it on the entire nail, not just the tips. Leaves it shiny and smooth:
The other recommendation is for those who are die-hard nail painters. This product dries your nails in literally 2 minutes. It is about $20/bottle but worth every penny.

Gels that are a darker red with a light sparkle to them. I had to get my nails done for 4 weddings in a row, so my husband has begged me to keep them up. I need to get over to get them done asap though, I'm a week overdue. The lady I go to only has 2 employees besides herself, so the place is always empty or only has one other person getting something done, and never stinks of nail fumes.

My toenails are teal blue. I can't paint my fingernails because I end up with an allergic reaction all over my face wherever I might touch it with my fingers. Especially on my lips, probably from putting on lip gloss, eating, etc. It only started happening after I had to take antibiotics a couple of years ago for Strep throat... Killed my immune system. Only get the rash on my face though (weird, huh?) so at least I can still paint my toes!
No polish on my nails, as I think it chips too quickly, and I can't keep up with the maintenance of gels! However, my toenails are an awesome sparkly purple!

Now you all make me want to go get a mani/pedi! I had planned on one for the Friday after DD was born last year but obviously didn't get to go because she was born...lol..
FFTC- I've never actually gotten a pedicure. And I'm extremely ticklish so I'm kinda scared to!
I wish I had my fingernails painted. It's against work dress code at Starbucks, so I never have my nails painted. I'm so looking forward to maternity leave, because I'm getting a mani/pedi before LO gets here.
