Well so much for being positive: Bad appt

So after the mini scare yesterday with my BP and the hospital releasing us saying it's fine, we go to our appt today to find out

1. My fluid levels are low (oligohydramnios)
2. My BP is actually high, contrary to what the hospital said
3. Baby Boots' growth has slowed down, he's only 35th percentile now (possible placental insufficiency)
4. He can't pass an NST because his activity level is so low (no movement in an hour, even after drinking OJ and cold water)
5. No improvement on his kidney function

So after an ultrasound and an hour on the NST equipment they finally let us go saying they saw enough heart rate activity to be satisfied. But I have to do a 24-hour urine collection to check for protein, twice weekly NSTs, weekly ultrasounds to check fluid levels and weekly OB appts from here on out.

I was worried about him coming at 36 or 37 weeks vs. 38, now I'm worried I won't even make it to 36 weeks.

Of course I'm totally freaked out, crying, and pissed off at the Universe. Why can't I just have a normal pregnancy???

    ((Hugs)) so sorry. I am glad they are being proactive. Hopefully, no matter when he makes his appearance, he'll be a healthy little boots.

    Oh no Amy! I'm so sorry. You are so close. Hang in there. I have several friends who had the low fluid and they were able keep baby cooking longer. They drank tons of water. 

    All the checking will be a pain but they are doing what they need to so Baby boots does the best he can. 

    I'm sorry you are going through this. It sucks. Sending you a big hug.

    Sorry you have increased anxiety as you get so close to his arrival. I am looked at twice a week with cervical checks, BPP's, and weekly NST's and although I sometimes feel it is exhausting, there is some comfort he is being looked at and monitored so often. Hang in there! (( hugs ))

    So sorry Boots!  It sounds like they are being really proactive though, and that's at least good.  I hope the fluid levels stabilize long enough for him to cook a bit longer.  Stay strong!

    I'm so sorry about all of this! The good news is, even if you had him tomorrow you're already 32 weeks! I've seen ladies on here have babies at 25 weeks, 28 weeks, etc and all turned out fine. It is going to be fine I just know it!!!

    Be very cautious. If you have a doppler check out the baby heart few times a day. Also, if you be able to seek a second opinion will be great. To deliver the baby sooner might be the better option.

    Oh Boots, I am so sorry you are going through this.  This is very scary.  
    With the high BP, slowing growth, low fluid, and failing a NST, I am surprised they let you go home.  It just seems like a lot of issues.

    ((((Boots)))) I am so sorry your appointment didn't go better. Miss M also measured in the 35% on all her later growth scans. At 32w2d she was 3lbs 15oz. My OB said measurements in the 30th percentile were not a big concern. She worried more when they were in the 20th. Hang in there.

    TTC started Oct '10
    Me: AMA w/RSD, atypical PCOS w/IR, LPD and High Prolactin. Controlled HP post-loss.
    DH: Low-T and borderline morph
    18 cycles, 3 medicated w/RE to get to a BFP!

    I'm sorry boots (((hugs))) I do not have any adult experience with this but FWIW I was born at 32 weeks and I am just fine. FX he is able to cook a while longer.

    So sorry you are going through this Boots! It is a lot but it seems like your medical team is really doing their best to keep you and Baby Boots safe and healthy. You can do this! Only a few more weeks until you get to hold your rainbow! :)
