@ShadyPines920 - you are right - most of the GTG have been NJ adjacent but not in NJ - awhile back (not sure if it was on Parenting or on a prior board) - there was a NY GTG and I believe some from NJ attended - it was at the Central Park Zoo. There was also a Philly GTG which sort of covered southern NJ.

Sometimes I feel like a know a few of the Oct 11 ladies on here since I'm FB friends with them, but sadly I haven't met any of them (except the Boston ones who don't really play on Parenting.)

I met a couple bumpies at a gtg a few years ago, but they are not active here anymore...I wouldn't say I know them. There was one regular from back when we were on the month boards who I knew in middle school. we realized after we had been posting for a while that we used to ride the bus together.

I've never met anyone either. I think it would freak DH out a bit. I don't live very close to any major cities, so that option is kind of out anyway. I think the closest bumpie that I know of is 3hrs away.

Back in June I spent an amazing weekend with Sookie, OM, Mack, ashleysyn, MrsNikki, Wordsmith, VeronicaCorningstone, NYMama, MrsEll, Write2Nicole, and Dragonblood. Sookie and I shared a bed. It was magical.

I also met a handful of others at the ATL GTG last fall (Hilarity, TPIS, Seahorse, I can't remember who else).

I'm such a name-dropping hor.

It's nice, but akward at the same time. I feel strange sitting there in the car while someone else does it. And I never know if I should tip, so I do because I don't want to be the jerk that doesn't.
