I nominate my loser neighbor. He's in at least his thirties and lives in my basement. He does nothing at all, as far as I can tell, but watch law and order and smoke pot. I talked to him about it when we moved in and the smell disappeared. Well it's back and Howell was up coughing all night. I really don't want to complain to the landlord but if I smell it after talking to him, that's what I'm going to do. And by smelling it I mean, you can see it in the air even in Howell's bedroom two floors up. I'm pretty live and let live but dude, get a life. Do something. You must have seen that episode of law and order ten times already. I cannot stand the smell of any smoke. It seriously disgusts me and I'm so pissed I have to live somewhere that smells.

I work in a cardiac rehab center, treating patients recovering from coronary artery disease and surgery. Most patients make an effort to change an unhealthy lifestyle that has contributed to their disease. However, I have a few patients who just waste the staff's time and insurance and taxpayer money because they don't attend sessions with the nutritionist or exercise physiologist, don't read any of the reading matter, and refuse to make any changes in their diet and continue to smoke and seem to think that they don't have to do anything because surgery and meds will solve everything.

I nominate powdered creamer this morning. It's so fucking gross. Why does it exist?? It's all we had left at work, so I tried it, and it pretty much ruined my day. Thank god I found some half & half stashed away in the fridge.

Also, my house. For not learning how to clean itself yet.

I love powdered creamer. I actually had to ban it from my diet since it's so bad. I like the plain coffee mate powdered stuff though not the flavored kind. If you add way more than you should it gets kind of frothy. Maybe I'm just gross.

No!!!! It reminds me of church.

When my dad was in the hospital having knee surgery, he had us bring him "good coffee" with real half and half every day because the hospital only provided the powder.

Meanwhile, I'm never giving up half and half. I love it so.

I nominated Cancer for the twat of the world for all time.

My H's grandma diagnosed with terminal cancer just about a month ago. She's barely hanging on. She decided not to take any treatments because they are futile. It's just so sad... and she's in the next state over so my H hasn't even seen her. He didn't know it'd get this bad so quickly and he's going to go on Friday after work if she's she hasn't passed by then.

She is in so much pain, it's not fair that this is her end of life. This world is so cruel.

My H. I am taking the GRE today. I've been studying when I can for the past couple months, which is tough because I always have to ask him to please take DD for a couple hours so I can study. He got sick on Saturday evening - a man cold as far as I can tell and spent Sunday, yesterday and this morning laying in bed moaning. So not only did I lose my last few days of study time, I also didn't sleep well last night between his complaining and snuffling and DD waking up at midnight and 5am. I am so over him saying he supports me in this grad school thing. He doesn't support me enough to actually DO anything that would help, so it's all just lip service.

This was my grandma... She eventually had both legs amputated and passed away due to her stubborn attitude toward her own health. It was very sad, especially for my mom.

Ugh. So I posted a picture on Facebook of DS completely passed out on his beanbag with his bottle hanging out of his mouth. I thought he looked hilarious.

Enter girl I went to high school with: He's getting big! How old is he now?

Me: 14 months

Her: Wow, time to throw away the bottle!

We're working on cutting back the bottle, he gets it in the evenings now and I've been trying to get him on the sippy cup more during the day. He just weaned off the boob a month ago, I didn't want to take away the boob and the bottle at the same time. But who just comes out and says stuff like that? I don't care if you have more and older kids than me, don't tell me how to raise my kid.

Maybe I'm just pissy and short-tempered today. Grr.

This just in. MIL is FORCING us to go to church on Friday at 6AM or she won't babysit!! Our backup isn't available unfortunately. It's a holy day of obligation and she has plenty of time to go alone that day but she literally cries for our poor souls because we don't live and breathe mass weekly. Manipulation is not how you get people to accept the Holy Spirit into their lives! In fact this is why DH hates church. Plus she won't go to our parish church because they use glass vessels for the wine at communion and that's disobedient or sumshit so we all have to go to this other BFE church at 6am, and then work, and then DH will play his devil rock music at a bar (which is probably why she's freaking out). I am going to start looking for other sitters obvs. I won't let her dictate how religious I am supposed to be. Fugh.

ugh I hate people like that! DH's cousin makes comments like that on my stuff- I usually delete them! Once she asked about a comment she made and I played dumb saying I never got/saw the notification or comment. I'm sorry!
