Tonight's True story: called police on neighbor LONG

don't F with the pregnant lady pal!!!

i live about a half mile from my parents' house, so i walked my dog there tonight to try to get things moving.  they have a longstanding issue with their crazy neighbor about letting his dogs outside without a leash (which is a law here by the way). the dogs have peed in my parents garage (!!), ran onto their lawn almost getting in a fight with my (leashed) dog when my then 3 year old was BETWEEN THEM.  anyway this douchenozzle always refused a leash since his "dogs are trained"  LOLOL.

anyway i was walking my dog and lo and behold, there they are on the sidewalk with him off leash.  my dog is pretty big , protective and lunges if a dog comes near and if he is nervous enough could pull the sh;t out of me normally, let alone as a huge pregnant lady. I braced myself and the guy just stared at me, with his dogs sitting next to him. he said "come over and meet them"  i was like dude, i am hugely pregnant, my dog does NOT LIKE OTHER DOGS, can you move them???  then, one starts charging me i am like WTFFFFFFFFF, he calls it back and starts to go in, and i said put them on a leash ok???  he then FREAKS THE F OUT. i mean full on hostile, throwing his arms up, walking towards me saying he can do what he wants. i am like holyshit, back off pyscho!! and told him i was calling the cops.

so i go to my parents right next door, and he gets on his bike (lol) and starts circling in my parents' driveway screaming at my mom LOL wtf!! i can't  make this shit up!!    this guy is like 45ish by the way, not some young kid.   so i had already been out of breath when i called because i had walked haha, and then i was totally worked up from this lunatic. the dispatcher was like "do you need an ambulance? you sound out of breath" I lol'd and said "no i am just pregnant" HAHA.   so cop comes and is like, this guy sounds nuts, then goes aand talks to neighbor who said it was my fault since i don't have control of my leashed dog (????) and that was it.

i am hoping the excitement sends me into labor though HAHA

  • You need some no lethal bear spray and just spray the shit out of them if they come after you. Me, I would just carry my gun and make it known that if I felt threatened, that I had the right to defend myself....but that's just me.

I hate it when aggressive dogs are just let out. In our old neighborhood, my husband walked (then) both our dogs. Several times this one dog (magically) got out of the house on his own. One time he bit one if my dogs and she had a puncture wound. Ended up at the emergency clinic with 4 staples and a cone of shame. I was livid. The owner did pay all the bills.

Sure enough, their dog got out again and came charging towards my husband and dogs. My husband flipped out and had to kick his dog off of ours. Normally I wouldn't condone this, but he had to protect himself and our dogs and had no other options. The owners neighbors had to call the owners because he was clueless that his dog got out yet again and attacked my dogs. Of course they apologized up and down, but you'd think they would have learned after the last bill they had to pay. No telling how many times it happened with other walkers.

  • I'm glad you called- what an ass.
  • What an ass! I would have done the same thing, but would have freaked about the cop not really doing anything about it.

oh well, we can either do a formal ordinance complaint or something about the leash law ha, or could go as far as doing a harassment charge.  since it was my parents' house, and their issue (for the most part) they are going to wait to see if he backs off.

  • I can't stand when people don't take proper steps to control their dogs. We live in outside a small town on a back road with 8 other houses, 6 have dogs. We are the only house on the street that keep our dogs contained in our 5 acres and on leads when we walk the road with them. The neighbour's st. bernard pup has recently decided to stop by our house multiple times a day to play with our 3 dogs. Wouldn't be an issue if he wasn't so hyper, working up ours to rough and tumble growling point, and then he goes and pisses all over our front step and door every.fucking.day. Of course the play went too far one day and got into a fight. Yeah I loved having to put down a nursing (and then screaming) 2 week old being 2 weeks PP from a c section to go separate 4 massive dogs. Deft had a heated conversation with the owners about him when DH got home to watch LO. The owners haven't done anything to contain/control him, but did come one day and scrub our front step as if that was the biggest issue at hand.

  • Our neighbor keeps taking in stray cats. Recently we started noticing they were coming to our yard a lot. Then our chickens started disappearing. And now our rabbits. The neighbors won't do shit.

Can't you call animal control? Sucks cause shelters won't always take them.

We don't have an animal control where we live. We are waaay out in the country. It is really sad, they had 5 cats outside but one had kittens so now there are 8, plus 3 dogs. Two dogs are penned up one lives inside. They bought property next to ours 3 years ago and immediately dumped a couple of the cats off when they started building their "house". They have since moved here full time and stopped building the house. It is a kitchen with a dining area and a bathroom no joke. So 8 cats, 3 dogs, and two people. I could go on and on. Our best friends run the local animal shelter, but the cats are pretty much feral and they are full. Just sad sad sad. And it pisses me off.
