I was pushing and my sister looked at me and said "I can see her head" while crying. I looked around and my mom was crying and DH was crying too. I am glad I chose to share the experience with my mom, sis, and MIL. Also, right before DD was born, I remember looking at the dr and she kinda nodded and it was an intense moment between us. I pushed one last push and she was out. Afterward DH just cried and thanked me over and over.
My tailbone broke during my last delivery and it was pretty awful. This time I was so terrified of it happening again so when the nurse told me I was complete I asked her if I could labor down for a while. For some reason they only let you labor down for 1 hour max at my hospital plus it was what the nurses called "OB bedtime". My nurse didn't want my OB to get wind I was complete so she covered for me so I could labor down for an extra 30 minutes. By the time my OB got there I only had to push one time and DD came out. I only had a tiny tear and my tailbone didn't break.
Once I had DD on my chest screaming and healthy and perfect in everyway AND my tailbone hadn't broken again, I was so over the moon.
I had a emergency c section and was on the best drugs but I'll never forget how DS looked into my eyes when I held him for the first time. It is indescribable but I swear he could see into my soul.
First while in triage, my husband was trying to be helpful and make me laugh while I was in excruciating pain, he said, "don't worry baby, I won't say all those super cute things like the guys on a baby story said like you asked so I don't get a throat punch." Haha which say I would do that.
I had a 14 hour labor and the doctor had come in around 9 pm on the 23rd and said get some rest, you're dilating slowly so plan on pushing probably around 3-4 in the morning. Well 2 1/2 hours later, around 11:30 I felt the urge to push. DH had just started to sleep and I woke him up saying, " Greg, ahold I call for a nurse to check me? I think I have to push." And his response, though it sounds jerky, was funny. "Are you kidding me??!" He had been awake since 5:30 am and didn't nap at all, so he had just started to get some rest. I called for a nurse and sure enough I was fully dilated ready to push. He was like, "wow I'm glad you called." Haha.
Like many others, when I was ready to push her out totally, the nurses were like, "don't push!! The doctors not ready!" And I was like, "ahhh I don't know if I can NOT push" longest 5 minutes ever.
Also, when she was born I didn't cry, I was more like dumbfounded that I just birthed a human after just an hour of pushing. While my DH was teary ❤️

From my delivery - when DS started crowning and they were breaking down the bed to get it into birthing position and calling in the doctor, the chief resident (not my doc) went to sit down. I told her that I really felt like I needed to push again and she laughed and said "your body already did!" And held up my baby boy...who immediately peed all over me. It was such a ridiculous situation but it was the perfect moment. Oh, then my OB walked in and asked why she already heard a baby. She had come from the other side of the L&D floor and thought she had enough time without running over.
Another vivid memory from the hospital - at about 4am the night he was born they woke me up when they brought DS to me for a feeding. I just remember looking a this little nugget of a baby and saying to the nurse "that's my handsome little man!" I had spent less than 2 hours with him by that point and was so sleep deprived but when they brought him to me I instantly knew it was my baby.
