Have you ever read a book and come up with pronunciations only to discover that the author intended for a different pronunciation than the one you came up with? Not all authors spell it out like Rowling (her-MY-oh-knee).

Well, that's how I feel about your screen names. How do you pronounce them? I need to practice for our reality show.

Mine is pronounced aims. I almost never think about the 2012 part but when I do, it's twenty-twelve aims.

Not gonna lie, @asbromle, most of the time in my head I say *ass*-bro-mel.

I don't really say the numbers in anybody's SN, mine included. The numbers in mine kind of irritate me now, actually.

Robyn, I used to say yours as robyn lor-ede thinking Loureed was your last name. I did that until you mentioned your middle name being Lou. Now it's 50/50 which pronunciation I go with.

Whenever I was paged on TTCAL or chatting with those ladies, it was shortened to NCC.

I was not creative when I created my account, (initials and last name) but I also never planned on posting. I created an account when we had been trying for six months for our first and a friend suggested TTGP. I lurked, but everything they suggested (temping, charting, etc.), I was already doing. Then we lost William David and I found the loss boards and started posting.

Sometimes, I think about creating a new profile or petitioning TB gods for a new one, but so many people across the boards I've been active on know me as NCC, so I haven't.

For some reason, in my head, you're always NN Chat. Which is barely related to your actual screen name.

Pronounciation: mirage

Spelling: is an odd play on phonetics so I could have a "simple" SN with no numbers.

Story behind SN: I've been described as, "once you finally grasp her in your arms, all you may find that you are holding onto is a mirage."

If I new I was going to be so active I would have picked something else. Even though I am usually Jennifer have used jenni for along time because my friends would pick on be Forrest Gump style and call me jennnna. I used to be called pinkie but that was NN my ex gave me so I have let it go.
But Palmer is my maiden name I wish my screen name was something more like JRazz. Since DH is military and our last name is long he gets called Ras or Raz.

Mine's said just as it looks (bob c) but has absolutely zero meaning or connection to anything in my life.

I had an old screen name I used to post with that was my first and middle names abbreviated. But when I got pregnant with Zack I wanted to start posting before I was "out", so I made up a SN that was easy to type and remember. Then since I started posting with that SN on here, I just continued to do so.

Mine is easy.

i always wondered how some people came up with their sn. Fun to hear how some SNs came about and how they were meant to be pronounced.

Also, add one more to reading the "l" as an "i". I am going to blame the fact I mobile bump. Ok? Lol.
