who in your life did you marry?

So i was thinking about my grandfather today. (He has been dead for 13 years) Just kinda reminiscing. Specifically i remember his working mans hands that were huge and rough textured yet were the most gentle and loving hands i have ever known. The first time i knew i loved MH was seeing his almost identical hands holding a newborn with such tenderness and care. These happy memories made me wonder who YHs or SOs remind you of from your past?

DH reminds me of my dad, in the most non-creepy way ever. lol. You know how "they" say you gravitate towards someone like your father? Well, that's kinda what happened with DH. My mom has made several comments about how similar they are. It's just certain parts of his personality and the way he says some things are like my dad. I love my dad! I just got off the phone with him. I feel so down today, and my dad is just great.

My DH doesn't necessarily remind me of my dad but whenever the two of them get together they are like best buddies. It really warms my heart that they get along so well.

My DH reminds me of my father, in that he will do anything for anyone. On the day that my mother married my step-father, my step-father's car broke down on the side of the road. My father happened to drive by, stopped, picked him up, and drove him to the wedding ceremony. My dad is seriously the nicest, most selfless person I know, and my DH is just like this.

I married a conglomerate of my best friends. My husband is the "nice guy". I dated a lot of jerks before I met him. Just like I do with my friends, my hubby and I have a ton of fun together and I can talk to him about anything.

H is a lot like my dad in that he's selfless and will do anything to support his family. He's also a very hard worker and a fantastic father to our son - and my dad, even though he was gone a lot because of the Army, has been an amazing father from the very beginning. I'm fortunate to have both men in my life.

I married someone very similar to my father...so I guess the old adage is right in my case. But I will take that one step further and say not that I believe much in zodiac characteristics but my Dad, Dad-in-Law and DH are all Aquarius and they alllll hold true to what is said about that sign. I also like to think that DH and I are cut from the same cloth and balance each other out when needed.

I don't remember him, but my Mom fondly refers to my hubby as "exactly like your grandfather". My grandpa died when I was three, but apparently their personalities were very similar. Professionally they are polar opposites, but family and personality wise, exactly the same. Secretly, it makes me happy! It also seems very fitting that if we have a boy, we're naming him after said Grandfather!

My FI has a lot of similarities to my father. They aren't completely alike, but alot of times I'll find myself thinking that he's acting like my dad. Which isn't a bad thing, for the most part. But I'm very similar to my mom and I see how their relationship has sort of deteriorated, so it's a little worrisome.

H is actually more similar to my mom than anyone else in my life! They get along so well and have clicked from the first day they met. He's also similar to my dad in regards to his family values - he takes the lead a lot in our household but also values and respects me, helps me around the house, and I know he'll be a very hands on father, which is how my dad is as well

This! I guess DH reminds me of my older brother. I hope that doesn't sound weird… I've just always looked up to my brother. He's very honest, loves his family, is a great dad, and in a way somewhat shy but not at the same time. My DH is very similar which is probably why they get along so well. But then again my DH gets along with pretty much everyone lol.

H is very similar to many of my uncles on my dad's side in some ways. Though, honestly aside from the goofy personality-- the rest of him isn't like anyone in my family, really. He and my dad think very differently on most things, though when they're together it's scary how well they mesh, especially when you throw H's dad in the mix, too. The three of them together is dangerous.

I was in a really shitty long term relationship before i met mh. i remember looking up at the stars one night after a fight and saying to myself i just want a guy with big hands, a bigger heart, an acoustic guitar, a sparkle in his eye and a spirit that challenges authority and a man who loves me like crazy.....well somebody must have heard something because a few months later thats exactly what i got.... Exactly!!! Thanks universe! kind of eerie! Although they are very different, my husband and my dad have very similar hearts... The two remind me so much of each other!

My DH reminds me of 3 different men in different ways. His humor is very similar to that of my mom's stepdad (only dad she ever knew). His interests and general way of living are very much like my dad and his leadership of his family and faith in Christ is very much like my dad's dad. So many great men wrapped up into one
