Fox Ties Down Wedding Website ‘The Knot’
BY MIKE FLEMING JR | Thursday October 24, 2013 @ 2:39pm PDT
EXCLUSIVE: 20th Century Fox has acquired rights to make feature films from the websites The Knot, The Bump, and The Nest. The first of those sites are popular with couples making wedding plans, the second is for expecting couples, and the third is for settling in as parents. The hope is to turn this into three ensemble films about progressing from the first to the third experience. Set to write is Natalie Krinsky, whose credits include Gossip Girl. She’s repped by CAA and Gotham Group.
The film will be produced by Nicky Weinstock through his Fox-based Invention Films banner, along with Carley Roney, CEO of the XO Group and co-founder of The Knot, and Danielle von Zernick. The Knot has opened divisions in Australia and China. In the U.S., the company claims to reach the vast majority of bridesmaids, so there will certainly be brand recognition and cross-promotional opportunities. WME brokered the rights deal.

Just thinking this might drive more traffic to the site.

That being said, I really feel that Knot/Nest/Bump should allow us to go back and DD posts now that a movie is going to be coming out. I know there are people on this Board who have active Court proceedings going on and would prefer not to have the other party (BM, BD, etc) find posts.

I highly doubt they will take things word for word. And we are talking about millions of posts. If not billions.
I'm looking forward to it.
There will be way more juicier things out there than this board.
That said I doubt anything here is juicy enough for them. I hope they cover the good things I have seen on these boards along with the drama. I have seen some amazing things happen among a group of essential strangers.
That being said, I was mistaken for Drew Barrymore once. The guy didn't believe me when I said I wasn't her so he followed me around the store. Why Drew Barrymore would be registering for her wedding at BBB in Memphis with an unknown guy....I have no idea. Also her boobs are 6000x bigger than mine.
