I've been digging around for Z names for girls that I like. The hubs likes Zooey, but it's not for me. I like Zadie and Zora and he hasn't ruled them out but they are not his favorites. I have a friend from college named Zosia and it's Polish for wisdom. Seeing as how I'm almost 100% Polish I though the name was awesome.
I'm not even pregnant, so this is all hypothetical.
Re: WDYT Zosia?
Hmmm...it depends for me on how it's pronounced (I have no idea...)
If it is Zoe-see-uh, I don't like it.
If it's Zo-sha, I do like it.

Due 8/26/19!
My friend pronounces her name Zo-sha. But the baby name web site says Zo-She-a. I'd probably go with Zo-sha.
I'm not a fan of Zocia, but its better than Zofia (saw this in an article today).
What about Ziva? Like the NCIS character?
My furchildren, Dorothy and Johnny
Ok, is Zooey pronounced like Zoe because I say ZOO-ee.
Zadie and Zora look like you're just putting a Z in front of a random name. Zosia is nice.
ZAW-shah - I think this pronunciation is really pretty. I don't care for Zooey or Zadie at all. Zora's okay though. Good luck with your "Z" name search!
It sounds to me like the name of a medication that you would hear a commercial late at night NMS
Zelda
Zulie
Zulaka (one of my mom's friends)
Zelie
The other came from my baby name book
Zadie and Zora are both names of authors--Zadie Smith and Zora Neale Hurston. Pretty famous and awesome authors.
Also, Zooey is how the name Zoey/Zoe is spelled in the JD Salinger story "Franny and Zooey." It's a pretty popular way of spelling Zoe. RE: Actress Zooey Deschanel.
Oh I like Ziva. Hebrew for brilliance and brightness. Love it!
While I get the literary references, It still looks like Sadie and Nora to me.
I always called her zoo-ee Deschanel in my mind when I saw her name. It doesn't make sense to me to pronounce that like Zoe.
I like it!
What about Zaskia? An awesome Russian Z-name.
