It depends. She is just at home most of the time during the day so we don't put one underneath, but it is pretty cold here tonight. DD's room is already down to 67 so I put a short sleeve onesie and socks on under her fleece sleeper. I have tried a blanket but DD wakes up multiple times a night when I do. Think she wakes up and instead of rolling over and going back to sleep she flips out. So layers of clothes it is until the space heater comes in.
I would like to. Albert's outgrown most of them, though. He's all right in long sleeve shirts, but he's been really picking at his belly button lately, and I'm trying to inhibit that with onesies.
I like onesies under clothes because H is always moving and in t shirts I find his belly pokes out sometimes. At home, he's generally just in a onesie and pants. I like the added warmth when we go out as well.
Oh definitely for outside. Gotta keep that core warm.
