DD likes to shriek a lot. Especially in the mornings. I try to be patient and get down to her level and whisper, no screaming, or something like that, I've tried saying it in a firm tone. Redirection is not always possible because she often does it when we're doing something that has to be done right then, like getting her dressed in the morning or when I'm wiping her face. Sometimes she shrieks near her high chair when she wants to eat. I'm struggling with the best way to teach her patience, because I am only one person and there many times, like pretty much all the time, when she just have to wait. But lots of times I just want the shrieking to stop so I'm probably reinforcing the behavior.
