You're absolutely right. Silly polls that can't be edited!

Pregnant Thanksgiving ROCKS. I should plan all of my pregnancies around Thanksgiving. Heaven help me if I'm ever morning sick during the end of November. :(

This year, all of it!  And I am keeping these maternity pants for added Thanksgiving comfort in future years!
I don't understand why you'd wear pants on Thanksgiving.  That's a horrible idea!
  • My family makes cheesy potato casserole with corn flakes on top that are amazing!!!

Also, anyone that said green bean casserole is dead to me. DEAD TO ME!!!
I am dead to you then! My husband's family are basically a bunch of world class chefs in my opinion, and his sister who went to culinary school makes the best damn green bean casserole. Fresh is best!
Gotta agree there, my uncle is a chef and when he's in town I park my butt next to the my green bean casserole and mete out miserly portions to anyone else who wants some.  Fresh beans, cream, actual mushrooms - it's soooooo good.
  • SS fresh green beans part way cooked then tossed with butter and broken ritz crackers. So easy & so yummy. Oh and my aunts pecan pie. One year she burned it and has never lived it down it is the best...mmmmm Thanksgiving

Really it just stems from my hatred of green beans. They're the one food I can't eat. But I do love cream of mushroom soup and those little onion straw thingies.

Has anyone ever made a variation NOT with green beans?

    We make broccoli casserole too.

  • How am I the only one to vote apple pie!!! I do love pumpkin pie too though. Of course I'm the odd ball, the main vote was stuffing and I hate stuffing haha
  • Good idea @Nickiechan! I don't usually Black Friday shop, but now I think I will for a crib :) or cyber Monday!
  • Since meeting my DH... I love his dressing, collard greens and yams now.
Before I was very traditional in my likes, stuffing and turkey....but when collard greens are made right....oh man are they good.
His mom makes the best :)

  • Thanksgiving is usually meh for me. I'm vegetarian and my in-laws think it's the plague. I always try to bring a dish to share with everyone (a casserole or something side-dishy) but this year ....

    Fuck it!

I will make my own whole feast and bring delicious things with me (stuffing made with veggie stock instead of turkey bits for instance) and I will not care if no one eats my yummy side dishes. I will bring enough variety to have a beautiful, colorful meal that consists of more than plain mashed potatoes, salad and a roll. THIS YEAR I WILL EAT, DAMMIT! =P~

  • I'm so pissed that Thanksgiving is late this year!  I can't wait!!  Stuffing is my favorite, but I love how everything works together...the turkey, cranberry sauce, gravy, hot rolls...mmm.....

We'll be celebrating with DH's family this year (we alternate) and the food isn't as good due to my nephew's allergies, but I've already told my mom I want to have a second Thanksgiving with them either before or after!
