I went WAY over budget for Christmas. I'm seriously stressing b/c I don't know how I'm going to pay off my credit card. It wasn't that bad until DH learned that 1/2 of his department is going to be laid off in the middle of January. We don't know who's going yet.
I can't find DD's pics with Santa
I had them at work on Monday and I thought I put them back in my purse. They are no where to be found. Luckily I have the 5x7 in a frame at home but I don't have the copies for the grandparents.
1. I was a little intimidated to come back to this board but I totally love all of the new people on here - yay
2. I bought two bags of mint m&ms for cookies - only a bag and a half remains (long week)
3. DH's work party is tonight and since I SAH now, I'm afraid I will really have nothing intelligent to say to other people besides flashing them my knowledge of breast feeding, quick diaper changes and getting your child to eat peas
I'll admit it, I love regifting! My confession--
We have a $20 gift for our family Christmas (DH's side) and always get stuck with crap. So instead of spending money on my gift, I bought two bottles of wine with rebates. After the fact, they only cost $5 for both.

It's less than a week until Christmas and I'm still struggling to find the spirit. I haven't bought DH anything. DD is done, but I still feel like I should get her more because my mom went way overboard.
I'm upset that DH's mother doesn't really seem to care about DD. I know she doesn't have to love being a grandmother, but a little interest would be nice. I used to send her pictures every week but stopped because she never responded.
Last night I couldn't wait for DH to leave (he goes OOT half the week) so that I could start Nesting again!
all i want to do is have dh come home from work, build a fire and cuddle roasting?marshmallows and listening to christmas music.?
i don't want to send out my christmas cards...?
i want to hide one of dd's toys... or break it... man it sings the stupidest songs

aw that sounds so nice and i'm jealous you have a fire place! i've suggested roasting marshmallows over our gas stove but it was a no go.
I went way over budget too this month- not just on gifts but a couple things for myself and i will be scared to open the credit card bill next month
My husband has been working a lot but I don't feel sorry for him since he was out of work much of the year and I secretly feel he should quit complaining and be thankful he has work!
I sent out tons of Christmas cards and am annoyed I have not received nearly as many (you said this post was flame free because these are some flame-worthy statements)
I am glad that many of my clients are cancelling their appts. this week I don't feel like working too hard!
My cousin sent us our xmas gifts..and she sent something for DH and I from them, besides what she got us from my godson. Well I sent her gifts out yesterday and didnt send her anything, so I emailed her and said oops just found the gift I got you guys and I will try to send it out today!
DS gets 2 books read to him at nap and bed time. Lately he wants me to read the same book to him twice. I am ready to hide this stupid book! Its not even a good one, its a stupid baseball book that makes noise!
I spent an hour watching a rerun of Wife Swap yesterday while DD played on the floor with her books and toys. She didn't do her normal afternoon nap which is usually my trash TV time. I just needed a little me time. She didn't mind. :-)
I am skipping Christmas cards entirely this year. I just can't get motivated and I don't care who gets offended.

I'm annoyed at DH. He could at least pickup DD from daycare if he's not at work. I'm way pregnant and we've been hit with a ton of snow and cold temps, so driving is a nightmare for me.
My mom is also annoying. Every little thing she does she makes me feel like I owe her big time for it. It's stuff that I don't ask for - like buying me a new PG top. I'm always grateful, but if I don't go above and beyond thanking her, she gets mad. WTF?
I'm so done with work this year, but I have to put on a good show because I'm in a new position with a new team at the company. I'm pregnant for f's sake, give me a little break.
