Reser's Fine Foods (which appears to go under several under names, including store brands) has announced a recall of about 325 prepared salads and other ready-to-eat food items due to risk of listeria contamination. Some of it is already expired, but there is also a good chunk that doesn't expire until later. Note that there haven't been any illnesses reported so far, but the results first showed up in testing by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, and the FDA determined there could be a possibility of cross-contamination to other products processed in the same facility.
The products were distributed to retailers and distributors in Alabama,
Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky,
Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New
Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma,
Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
