Book Exchange

Hi Ladies,  I know this is not your typical post, but I thought I'd post it here anyway.

I'm participating on a book exchange chain where you purchase 1 book for a child and then get 6 of your friends to participate as well, then your child ends up with 36 books in total... and each child that participates also ends up with 36 books... That's if not one drops the ball

Its quite neat, and it would be fun for us since we all have children the same age.

If you're interested, please send me an PM and I'll either snail mail or email you the instructions.

    It's probably not a good idea to do an exchange that involves giving out your real name/address on a board like this where we are all strangers. You never know what kind of people are truly behind the computer. Just a thought.

    True.  I guess you are right.  I've done other mail things on forums before... never had a problem.. but i guess there is a first time for everything :)

    Just something to keep in mind. This is a general parenting board, not a bmb or loss board where everyone might be closer. I probably couldn't name one person who posts regularly here, id never feel comfortable sharing my personal info.

    Yeah I wouldn't share personally. However another site to look into if you were wanting some books is Thriftbooks.com I use them often they are gently used books. For Christmas I got LO 5 board books for $20 and shipping is free. They're all in great shape.

    No.  Not a good idea.  This is generally something you do with FB friends or IRL friends, not strangers from message boards.

    I've had family members ask me to do this before and I wouldn't even do it then.  I know the person that invited me, but that doesn't mean that I know all the people that they invite and all the people that those people in turn invite and so on.  Passing around a home address along with the specific information that there is a 3 year old boy that lives there feels like an invitation for abduction to me.
