food strikes and teething

Does your kid go on a food strike when his teeth are getting ready to come in?

Em has 6 teeth and I'm pretty sure he's teething two more on the bottom. He goes into food strike mode when he's doing this, even for food he typically likes. Thank God we're still bfing or I'm not sure he'd be getting any nutrients. Any words of wisdom?

Yes, Kate totally goes on a food strike. Which is especially worrisome, as she has turned into a really picky eater anyway. As you may remember, I'm not BFing (ha ha) but I give Kate Pediasure or the toddler drink that Enfamil makes in the evening on a day of food striking. Other than that, I pretty much just let her eat whatever she actually will eat, even if it's just fruit or toast and cream cheese (her favorite.)

oh yes. every time she pops a new tooth she is impossible to feed.

our go to foods are- scrambled eggs, yogurt, and green smoothies.

DS won't eat anything that requires chewing when he is teething. We do lots of yogart, applesauce, mashed sweet potato and pouches when he is teething.
