I'm wondering if we have enough threads yet asking what's normal for symptoms, lack of symptoms, spotting, what's healthy to eat, what's normal and not?

The baby names ones I just want to send to the baby names board. That's what it's fucking for! But I just ignore them. Not even worth opening because chances are I think your name is dumb and I'm not going to tell you that anyways. So what's the point?

I keep hoping the duplicated questions will end when every one is in second tri. people forget there are trimester boards, baby names etc that they can clog up with their repetitive questions. I'm all for introducing ones self, and participating in the check-ins and random gtky's but I avoid all of the repetitive stuff. Maybe the fact that this isn't my first rodeo has made me a bitch. I don't care. name your kid what you want, asking strangers won't change your mind. You want to tell the world on Facebook you're 4 weeks pregnant? Good for you. But I'll judge you anyway.

Yes it's true, this is also a repeat thread I've seen before. I find it ironic to complain about threads that are the same thing, and the thread itself is what is being complained about. I've just noticed this forum is kinda full of high strung people. I was trying something new, and I think I will stick to tcoyf boards for most of my pregnancy.

Yeah, it's a bit much to say everyone is high-strung. Can't label everyone based on a couple things written. And sometimes sarcasm (the highest form of humor IMO) is really hard to interpret in written text. Just try not to take everything so seriously. There's plenty of actual serious stuff on these boards

Not just that, but people are at most like 8.5 weeks along. So chances are good that further down the line they will find other names they like, or reasons to dislike the names they're currently considering.
And as for telling people, because it totally matters what everyone else due in June is doing. If you want to tell people, tell them. If you don't, don't. I don't understand why this is a difficult concept.

Not everyone reads every comment on every thread or looks back at all threads. Also, some people get here much later than others and didn't see the discussions where everyone decided to have one thread for these topics. It takes a little bit to learn the site when you're new to it.

We we all just kinda met each other and we have covered what we do for a living. Should we start a current events thread, pop culture, favorite bands, how about we talk about our pets???

It takes a awhile to get in the groove of things. I am sure it will get better when we are all more than a couple weeks pregly.

While I am not an offender at the posting something that has already been asked a million times, I think what people need to realize that a board like this can be kind of frustrating to first timers. Think about that first time you ever got a BFP and how excited you were to see it. I haven't told many people the baby news, so this is about the only place that I feel like I can ask questions and make remarks about my excitement. What I don't think people want to do is go back through pages of questions to see if theirs had already been asked. They are excited FTM who just want to ask something and learn.

I guess I don't understand why people freak out on questions that have been asked before. Just don't look at them. Don't answer them. Then how do they even affect you? I feel like boards like this are hard to blend well because we do have moms that are here for their 2nd, 3rd, or more times that just think all of us first time moms are idiots (and I will be the first to admit, I pretty much know nothing about this baby thing!) Maybe what would be more constructive is a separate thread where first time moms can ask all of the questions that annoy everyone else. I guess I just don't see the point in getting annoyed at someone else's excitement.

I wasn't aware that being a first time mom meant that you became unable to scan the list of other post titles and find where everyone else is talking about spotting, symptoms and nausea.

Also, it does affect the rest of us when we can't find a single post other than a duplicate/triplicate/quadripilicate one.
