Of course, the official peanut question -- did you play any sports or participate in any extracurricular activities as a kid? Have you kept up with any of them or picked up any new ones? (And don't forget to include a young sugar photo!)
And my follow up question -- what was your favorite restaurant in the Roc?
1. Did YH pick out your engagement ring by himself? If so, would you change anything about it or upgrade later? 2. What's your Starbucks/DD order? (Or other appropriate coffee shop fill-in) 3. What sparked your passionate (and very much appreciated, at least by me) interest in child seat safety? 4. Do you remember how old you were when you first tried JIF? 5. Do you side eye people who hand you a jar of Skippy or Peter Pan when you asked for peanut butter because clearly they don't know those aren't real peanut butter? 6. What's your favorite thing to add to a peanut butter sammie? 7. Does your daughter like peanut butter?
I think I maxed out on the number of questions you're allowed to ask.

@peanutmuse I didn't play any sports at all. I still don't. I am more of a stay inside and read my books kind of gal. I did sing in the choir all through high school. I don't have any pictures of myself though! I still sing in the car constantly. I began running earlier this year while we were taking a break TTC between our last loss and this LO to lose weight. I began doing some 5Ks and I have to say I really like it. There is a 5K, half marathon, and marathon local to me each October, so my goal is to try and do the half next October.
Favorite restaurant would be Phillip's European for their desserts. I also have many memories at Jay's Diner in Henrietta from college.
If you won $1 million dollars what would be the first 3 things you do?
@ANDYLEAH, pay off our mortgage, replace both of our cars and pay off my parent's mortgage. Since that is all debt payoff, I'm going to count that as one thing because that's no fun. Buy a Disney timeshare (in the Hawaii location of course!), finish our basement, and invest the hell out of the rest of it. I work for a financial planner so there is no way I am pissing it all away.

I think I maxed out on the number of questions you're allowed to ask.
1) We shopped together very early on and picked it out. I didn't know that he went back right away and bought it then because we didn't get engaged for another 2 years. So the ring was my choice, but a total surprise (if that makes sense). I adore my ring because it is atypical. There is beautiful scrollwork detail. I wouldn't change the ring itself, but if I ever got a bigger diamond...well I wouldn't say no. 2) I don't drink coffee or anything like that at all. So if I went to Dunkin Donuts, it would be for a donut. 3) I think because it's something that I can easily control in a situation when there are so many variables. I can't control the road conditions or the other drivers. But I can make my daughter as safe as possible, and very easily. Those Youtube videos are scary. The ones that show identical crashes of a FF child and a RF child. It is amazing the difference in injuries. It drives me crazy that I have shared my information with my sister and she continues to disregard it. The straps are too loose, my nephew was FF at 14 months, my niece isn't always in the most appropriate car seat for her age. I just don't get it. But I told her twice and I'm not going to say anything again. It's no longer my place. 4) JIF has always been the peanut butter in my house. That was always my mom's favorite and since she did the grocery shopping, that's what we got. I remember doing blind taste tests with my family between JIF and Peter Pan (Dad's favorite). Dad lost. 5) I do make a joking comment about the quality of their peanut butter. When I am in a bind, I'll accept Skippy or another brand, but in my house, JIF is the way to go. 6) Potato chips or bologna. 7) I was petrified to give her PB for the first time. Because it's such a high allergy food, and also, what if she just didn't like it?? We lucked out on both. She can't have any nuts at daycare, so we eat PB sandwiches for lunch on the weekends. Because I don't like jelly, we don't keep it in the house, so it's not PB&J sandwiches for her, it's just PB.
Above all else, I knew I wanted to be a mom. I spent some time wanting to be a lawyer. I am articulate and can argue pretty well. Then I wanted to do something in math. Not teach it, but be involved in math. I still debate if I could be an actuary or work in the underwriting department for an insurance company.
DD is like a miniature me. Not only in looks, but in temperament. She likes being inside, she doesn't like creepy crawlies, and she likes to eat her food in sections and not all jumbled up. She gets M&Ms for potty training rewards and she eats them by color, just like I do. Another story is that one time she was helping my H fill up the bird feeder in our kitchen. She tried pouring a cup full of seed into the funnel for the feeder and missed it completely, bird seed spilling everywhere. She put her hands on her face, Home Alone style, and shrieked, "Oh my God! It's so messy!" That is 100% me.
1. We know JIF and car seat safety are your hills to die on...any other things about which you feel just as strongly?
2. What do you think will be the hardest part about having a second little one?
@MarBee1214 1) Parenting wise, no I don't believe there is anything else I feel as strongly about as car seats, and that's because it's a safety thing. 2) Dividing my time and making sure DD continues to feel loved, special, and not neglected. We do so much together, just her and I, and I know that I will become the primary for the newborn and my H is going to step up and take her to daycare, and her evening classes instead of me. I'm going to miss those times of just us. And napping. That's going to be very hard to continue to do after the new one comes around.
1. What are your best and worst traits (character, personality, anything!)?
2. Do you have any of your parents' mannerisms?
@MiaMyPuggle 1) I am very loyal and will defend to the end (perhaps you've seen that on here). I am extremely organized and pride myself on being able to juggle all the balls for the family. My worst traits are that I hold grudges far longer than anyone should. I have a hard time letting things go. 2) I am my mother's daughter, through and through. The way we think, the way we do, and our interests are all identical. She understands my love of reading and ability to just hang out all day with a good book. She can tell what I am thinking without saying the words. When I had my first loss she saw me the day after at my sister's birthday party and could tell something was wrong. I tried to lie and brush her off but as soon as she said, "No, I know something is wrong" the tears and the story came. I would be utterly crushed if anything happened to her.
1) We are trying to keep them quiet, but I don't think my sister lurks anymore. If it's a boy, his name will be Maxwell, nicknamed Max. If it's a girl, she will be Allison. No nickname. DD is Sarah, and I feel that they both go well with that. Don't tell my H that two of the clones in Orphan Black are Sarah and Allison! It took forever for us to come up with that name. We've seriously been working on a girl's name since DD was born 3 years ago.
2) I don't really have a bucket list! I'd love to go to Europe and Australia. I'd love to meet some favorite authors and talk about their books. As lame as this sounds, I'd love to visit several of the Nascar tracks and see the races there (we are big Nascar fans).
1) Like your screen name, I mostly drink water. I am probably a teetotaler. I drink very rarely. Not because I have a drinking problem, or a problem with people drinking, I just don't really enjoy it. It's fine if others drink around me. I've just never really liked it or felt pressured to do it And DH was in a fraternity. If I was going to experience pressure, it would have been there. Frankly the boys were just happy to have a pretty reliable DD! 2) When I do drink, it is likely to get drunk. And then I will do shots of Bailey's. I'm a very fun drunk. Very valley girl and friendly.
1) Righty, though I deal cards like a lefty. My lefty grandpa taught me how to deal.
2) Empire Records and Clueless. They're just sweet and fun. They give me good memories and make me smile.
3) Country music, though not really pop country like it's been lately. I like more classic country, or Americana. The Civil Wars are currently my favorite (and will be a quote on a mother's necklace I plan on getting).
4) I am confirmed Roman Catholic but I do not practice. We are teaching DD to believe in God, but not through organized religion. Kind of like home schooling religion.
5) Her picky eating! Meal time is such a pain in the ass. Nothing works for her. No peer pressure from kids at daycare, no reverse psychology, no "She'll eat when she's hungry" or "She won't starve herself." I've seen it happen. She has a stubborn will and will not be poisoned by a hot dog, pizza, or anything that would make it easy for us to take her out to dinner.
6) Chocolate, only. I don't like chunky stuff in my peanut butter. I have a bit of a texture issue. ice cream should be smooth so no chunky or crunchy stuff. But there must be chocolate syrup on top. Not hot fudge, the cold Hershey's syrup.
7) Right now, nothing. After tonight's nail appointment they will be a dark magenta/red.
1) I love Christmas. I have always loved it, but moreso now that DD is here and I can share traditions and Christmas magic with her.
2) This one will be a repeat c-section, on 12/30. Given that I was put completely under for DD's birth, I am looking forward to (although a little scared) being awake for the birth. So yes, I will definitely be medicated! My plan with BFing is the same as with DD. I will do it so long as it works for the both of us. I will make every effort to do it, but if it doesn't work, I will not feel shame or be shamed by anyone else. Disposable diapers. I know everyone who CDs loves it, but it is not for me. As for the fourth trimester, I adore the Happiest Baby on the Block for a guide. It worked great for our daughter and I hope to have the same results for this baby.
3) Shockingly, my favorite meal is probably macaroni and cheese. But the meal I eat the most is a peanut butte bagel for breakfast. I'm a pretty cheap and easy date.
@sugarland726 Good for you for not allowing people to shame you for your choices! I think mom on mom hate is a terrible thing (or society on mom hate; unless actually warranted for legitimate poor parenting choices).
What would your super-power be?
Pick 2: a trait you already have that you would like to "super-size"; and one that would qualify as an "actual" super-power.
An ability to read minds. Hands down that is what I would want above all else. Then for a trait I'd like to super-size, I think speed/endurance, since I want to get back into running post-baby.
I have another one-- who's your Nascar driver?
(I don't watch a lot, but I suggested Elliott after Bill Elliott for a boy-- he was my dad's favorite driver. My little brother, Cale, is named after Cale Yarborough.)
I love Jimmie Johnson, which seems trite, but he's a good driver and a nice guy. I am not a fan of the Busch brothers AT ALL. Matt Kenseth was my favorite in the beginning because DH would watch it all day on Sunday and I didn't before him. I thought I should pick a driver so the race was more interesting to me, so I chose my favorite number, #17, which was Matt. I love the name inspirations you have!
1) Rochester, NY; Chicago, IL; Rochester, NY; somewhere south-ish of Rochester (I'd prefer not to name my exact town now).
2) I do! That is definitely where my screen name comes from. But their last album wasn't really country and they haven't put out anything new in a long while because they are both doing solo projects. I love their old stuff, but I've moved on, musically.
1) I can not wait to take her to Disney. She loves all the Disney characters and princesses. I know she would be thrilled to do that. I was trying to convince my H to take her while I am home on maternity leave, but he vetoed that idea. I think it will end up being in 2015 when we go.
2) Chocolate! There is no other kind in my book.
3) My H is a very loyal man and he will have your back no matter what. He is also an amazing father. He did not have the best example growing up of a hands on and involved dad, but he has proven to be a wonderful dad. It's been so great to see their relationship form and the love he has for her.
6:15 I wake up via alarm. Go and get breakfast for myself and eat that while checking my email and other accounts. That is until about 7am. Sometime in that 45 minutes, which varies each day, DD wakes up. So I get her out of the room, she has breakfast, the news has been replaced by Mickey Mouse and we sit next to each other and eat. 7:00 clear breakfast dishes and put away last night's clean dishes or wash the dirty ones in the sink. 7:10 get in the shower 7:20 makeup, brush hair, get dressed 7:50 leave the house with DD 8:10 drop her off at daycare 8:30 get to work
DH and I tag team her in the morning between keeping her on task at finishing breakfast, picking out clothes, getting her dressed, putting her sippy cup in the fridge, doing hair, shoes, and her coat. He doesn't wake until I go back to our room to shower.
1. What is your favorite book? Book genre? Favorite dirty book? 2. If you could live anywhere, where would you chose & why? 3. Do you have pets, if yes, what? If no, would you want any?
Do you have a good embarrassing story to share with us?
@Kismc, well this weekend I forgot to sign my grandma's birthday card. I had DD color it (her "signature") and stuffed it in the envelope. Whoopsie daisy. I am having a hard time thinking of embarrassing stories. I am not one to willingly make a fool of myself and get self conscious in public to minimize the opportunity to be made fun of.
1. What is your favorite book? Book genre? Favorite dirty book?
2. If you could live anywhere, where would you chose & why?
3. Do you have pets, if yes, what? If no, would you want any?
1) I am a big reader so to name one single favorite is nearly impossible. I absolutely adored The Fault In Our Stars by John Green this summer. Top five of my life, for sure. I read a lot of historical romance novels and some of them can get fairly graphic, so I'll say anything by Eloisa James. After historical romances comes the dystopian kick I've been on for about 2 years (like The Hunger Games, Legend, Divergent, etc). 2) I'd live in the same town as my family lives. We currently live a good distance away. Close enough to visit, but far enough to make it a pain in the ass to visit. I wish we still lived in my hometown. 3) We have a cat who weighs more than two of our newborns will weigh put together. He is lazy as can be. DD loves him. The feeling is not mutual. Not that he hurts her. He couldn't be bothered to muster the energy to hurt her. We also have a beta fish and four rabbits. DH wants to get a black lab. That won't be happening until AT LEAST next summer, and probably closer to next fall/winter.
What is your favorite meal and food? (breakfast for eggs and bacon, etc)
Have you had any cravings this pregnancy? How about food aversions? (and what are they)
@MrsGraham06 I am an oddly picky eater. I eat the same breakfast every day and have for years and years. I do not like diversity within my food. I stick to well known foods and recipes. I'd say breakfast is my favorite. I enjoy a small bit of change when we go out to eat and I get chocolate chip pancakes. It's not the same as making them at home. Otherwise my favorite food is spiral macaroni and cheese. Delicious!
During my first trimester I, very specifically, wanted Velveeta mac and cheese, which I never eat otherwise. After first tri was over, so was the craving. I also was turned off by chocolate, which is practically blasphemy in my family. Luckily that aversion has resolved itself!
Do you think you'll have more kids or are you done at two?
Other than your LO, what is your favourite hobby?
@Dishylo 1) 10.5 years, in the spring of my freshman year of college. Married for 6.5 years.
2) He is an engineer. I don't really know exactly what he does, still.
3) We discussed going for a third if this one was a girl. However, during this pregnancy I've been feeling more and more like this could be it and I would be happy, regardless of sex. DH recently said he doesn't want to put me through another c-section (no VBACs in my small town), so he is feeling like we could be done too. But neither of us are ready to call it quits just yet.
4) Reading. I love books so much. It would pain me if DD didn't love reading too.
I'm going to assume family is either there or doesn't count. I'm going to go just material items. My Kindle and charger (but that counts as one item, right??) My phone, with WiFi of course. Not like I'd vacation on an island without WiFi and would end up stuck. A bed. Sand isn't really comfortable to sleep on and I really like to sleep!
Re: Sugarland's in the Hot Seat!
And my follow up question -- what was your favorite restaurant in the Roc?
1. Did YH pick out your engagement ring by himself? If so, would you change anything about it or upgrade later?
2. What's your Starbucks/DD order? (Or other appropriate coffee shop fill-in)
Married: 9.22.12 - DD: 1.7.14 - EDD 2: 10.30.17 - J14 OG
2. Do you have any of your parents' mannerisms?
Favorite restaurant would be Phillip's European for their desserts. I also have many memories at Jay's Diner in Henrietta from college.
What names have you decided on
What are the top five things on your bucket list?

If you drink it, what's your poison of choice?
Baby Chugging born 12.28.13
induction due to HELLP

During my first trimester I, very specifically, wanted Velveeta mac and cheese, which I never eat otherwise. After first tri was over, so was the craving. I also was turned off by chocolate, which is practically blasphemy in my family. Luckily that aversion has resolved itself!
DS1 born 11/3/06 * DS2 born 3/29/08 * DD born 3/15/11
Scarlett Mae born 1/14/14 Our family is now complete!
1) 10.5 years, in the spring of my freshman year of college.
Apple or PC?
Gel pens or ballpoint? (yes, I'm at work, and yes- both kinds are sitting next to me right now)
Are you a card person?
Favorite brand/flavor of coffee-- if you drink it. Or is the smell better than the taste?
